A pleasant lunch at a busy Saturday lunchtime, somewhat affected by parents not controlling their children at adjoining tables. Food fine although I found my main course of faggots a little too spicy, but my son enjoyed his chicken. My son’s request for no ice in his drink was not met and we were given the wrong bill at the end of the lunch. I think it was all quite an expensive meal for what we had, particularly with VAT added on the final bill.
The Red Lion – CoventrySorry, I won a 2 free 2 course meal. It was only a set menu, we were never told that. The x2 person mezze would have been nothing we would have chosen. Sorry but if you offer a voucher, you really do need to put the T&C's on it. It was not good. We both left really disappointed from that

The Red Lion – CoventrySunday lunch at The Red Lion was nothing short of amazing. Huge plate of mixed meats beautifully cooked, huge Yorkshire and fabulous roasties. Big dish of mixed greens and another of cauliflower cheese. Can't praise it enough.

The Red Lion – CoventryCame for the afternoon tea on a quiet Mother's Day afternoon. The service was lovely and we enjoyed the surroundings. If you're choosing the afternoon tea option ,bear in mind it is quite a lite bite with nice tastes but not much for 2 people. Probably need to get an extra from the menu, but a nice afternoon.

The Red Lion – CoventryAttentive friendly staff but spoiled by a 50 minute wait for food after ordering. The 2 for 1 offer is good value though the chunk of meat in my beef wellington pie was inedible as I was unable to get my knife through it so quality of food very basic. Nice atmosphere however.
