Friendly staff food is good

Excellent quality of food. Service was great. Only negative was the length of wait between ordering and receiving our food

Lunch 14th March 2025 very enjoyable visit !! Service was excellent ... girls were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their work !! The pork belly meal was very tasty, well cooked and plentiful !! The only poor element was the ale available .... neckoil is not a pleasant drink .... I suggest a change to Timothy Taylor Landlord or Tribute would be welcomed by any ale drinker !!! We will be back soon !!

Staff were brilliant, no flapping, calm even though it was busy, food arrived in good time, excellent quality for the price, plates were hot, good range of beers and drinks, will go back again.

What a little gem Coventry has! We had a lovely meal here with a friend who was taking part in Iftar - as a non Muslim I wanted to make sure that it was halal and met her requirements. They were so good at answering my questions, and helped me to make sure I was helping my friend with respecting her traditions and beliefs. We will 100% be returning, both with my Halal eating friends and non Halal friends. The food was amazing so fresh and flavourful. The service was top notch couldn’t ask for more. The restaurant its self is lovely really beautiful decor with traditional Lebanese and modern fused together beautifully. I would fully recommend.

Our first visit and definitely won't be our last a great carvery all home cooked and very tasty, fabulous service Becki couldn't do enough for us and always with a smile , the puddings all home made and plentiful and it was in a lovely setting no overcrowding and lovely backdrops to give a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon

Amazing food / great vegetarian options and absolutely delicious. Bread with soup was basic will have been nice to have something rustic or brown … soup was very nice Friends had salmon .. the sauce might be better served in a gravy boat ! 2:4:1 offer … please keep it going .. service a little slow .. but just an observation as we will be visiting soon

We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Our server, Muheeth, provided excellent recommendations and made us feel incredibly welcome. His service was outstanding, and thanks to him, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The food was excellent, with great flavours and high-quality ingredients. My friends and I felt the warmest of welcomes, and we would definitely come back again based on Muheeth’s exceptional service. Highly recommended!

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening having not been there for a good few months. Sadly, the service was very slow (despite the restaurant only being half full) and the Sunday roast was mediocre. Luckily we knew where to find the specials board but the staff didn’t point this out to us. We might just have been unlucky but our experience this time was markedly different to many past visits to the Red Lion.

We’ve been coming here regularly for many years and have always had top quality delicious food. A wonderful local pub, cosy, friendly & as far as dinner goes we can’t find better!

Disappointed on the service last night. We were seated then forgot about, was while later when our food order was taken. No one mentioned the specials board on arrival. After our meal We asked for the dessert menu which arrived shortly after but then after waiting for 10 minutes or more we decided to leave after no one taking our order. Although staff walked past quite a few times. No one asked if the food was ok or even if we wanted another drink.

Such a lovely place, nice atmosphere, good food served by very nice staff. Also plenty of choice for gluten free options, which is important .
