Have visited the Fat Italian on numerous occasions now and have tried most things on the menu and it really is a fabulous restaurant. The service is excellent with a really relaxing atmosphere and the chef is obviously very talented as the food is always beautifully presented and extremely tasty. Recently made the mistake of trying out a city restaurant (San Carlos) thinking it might be more special, shouldn't have bothered as it wasn't a patch on Fat Italian. Highly recommend it and will return for many years to come! Well done to all the staff!

Just to say that I totally agree with the taxi driver, it was OK but not for the prices charged. There are much better value places in and around Crosby

What a great place this WAS to eat,now although they advertise 2 for £10 DONT BE FOOLED THIS OFFER HAS STOPPED. Really enjoyed the value for money and pleased that it was getting busier and busier over the last few months, so much we started booking and the staff are always friendly and helpful BUT WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT now the deal has finished although it has been replace with a 2 for £12 Pizza or Pasta dishes. The main dishes although value for money are more in line with restaurant prices not Bistro prices. It will be interesting to see if the place looses its appeal to its passing trade or regulars like us

Excellent value on 2 for £10. not tried others no need. Staff excellent, nothing any trouble from them on our numerous visits, going tonight and Sat having already been last Tuesday.so it must be good. Location is also excellent and very relaxing, not like a pub.NO TV's great!

I went to the Pioneer just recently on a Saturday night, The bar area was very very busy, The food there was absolutely fantastic. My steak was cooked to perfection. The portion was just enough so you are full but not uncomfortable, the brownie dessert was nothing short of fantastic the both of us are still raving about it now. We will both be back together and with friends very shortly 10/10

been before with the girls for my birthday was disappointed in size of meal going to try it again and see whether they have made any improvements over the year

its a shame the food and service didn't match the decor , such a fab place yo look at, just a shame the food wasn't up to the same standard. we don't think we will be returning.

Unfortunately the meal I had at the Pioneer was less than satisfactory. I went there for the three course Christmas menu with my sister and we were very disappointed. The sprouts were like bullets, grossly undercooked and the carrots were unpeeled and also undercooked. . We eat out quite a lot and know that vegetables only require minimum cooking time. However they might as well have been raw!! The starter was goats cheese which unfortunately was too large, covered in batter and without any sauce or accompaniment - only a small amount of leaves which I assume was meant to pass as salad. So I can't understand the enthusiasm for this restaurant. We won't be going back.

i would easily recommend this chippy, very good quality of food, well worth the prices which are charges. very good portion sizes. the staff are also very friendly and helpful.

The best full English EVER.. And great price. Also service was excellent. Recommend the poached eggs.Good luck for the future.

Travelled up to Liverpool from Kent to visit the family and this restaurant was recommended, so took my parents together with my husband on Friday night. Excellent service, drinks, wine. Staff very attentive but not overbearing. Food was absolutely fantastic, good size portions and everything was hot. The only thing that spoilt the evening was the taxi driver going home, completely slated the place and said it was too expensive.....we "should try the Hungry Horse instead, great value".....my opinion is you get what you pay for and the meal we had was worth every single penny and we all enjoyed it.......thankyou.

freshly cooked food, really tasty. Sangria was especially good! Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely atmosphere, really busy for a Tuesday night! Can't wait to go back.

Visited this restaurant last night. Service was excellent and staff were knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere was vibrant. Food was excellent with a good and varied selection. Well worth a visit.

A great find - Went to So Salsa on it's 2nd night of opening and was not disappointed. Relaxed atmosphere, fabulous food and great service. You won't be disappointed.

me and my wife and two kids went here for Sunday lunch in April 2010 we all got soup for starter which tasted odd so we sent it back then the waitress said the cook had tasted it and we were right it was odd i thought the cook was supposed to taste before it left the kitchen then the roast came out meat was like old boots we had to ask for more gravy because potatoes was very dry do not recommend this restaurant i would give it 2 out of 10 didn't even say sorry about soup manager and cook need sacking
