Been here a couple of times before,food quality nowhere as good as in previous visits.Service OK,again not as good as previous visits,slow to take orders,but quick to ask if anymore drinks required.Was our go to italien when in Carlisle,but probs won't be back.

La Mezzaluna – CarlisleFor the last few years stopped off at this restaurant as food was excellent. However on last few visits things have changed they advertised pancetta when it is smoked ham. For salcissa sauce they use pepperoni . On last visit my wife’s lasagna did not have any meat plenty sauce and mozzarella. Obviously will not be back.

The service was friendly and fast. The food was yet again amazing the gluten free garlic bread was delicious. We will definitely be back
La Mezzaluna – CarlisleThis was the Greyhound Inn's first foray into Tapas and they certainly delivered. The food was well cooked, hot and served quickly. The menu was varied and portions really generous. We suffered that, for the smaller appetite, they offer a two tapas, as well as the three tapas menu. Left completely stuffed, and will be visiting again.

The staff are lovely, the food is delicious and the location is great, on a Georgian terrace looking out over the citadel. We’ve been many times to Sage and Vine and its sister restaurant Mezzaluna next door - not one bad experience. Highly recommend.
