Lovely food, lovely atmosphere and really lovely staff. A very enjoyable evening eating tapas and drinking wine.

Three of us went for dinner with no particular expectations. We had six small plates and three desserts, all shared between us. We thought it was excellent on all counts and very good value for money. We would certainly go back if we were ever in Carlisle again.

What a wonderful little gem in the heart of Carlisle city centre. My two friends and I enjoyed the great food, wine choices, alongside the warm atmosphere where we had dinner recently. But the star of Sage and Vine was undoubtedly our waitress who provided the best service - giving helpful guidance in our food and drink choices, and friendliness from start to finish. Defo recommend this small but perfectly formed restaurant. 5/5

Superb as always. We had a mixture of small plates and pizza and everything was excellent with friendly smiling service as well.

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were looked after. Excellent service the food was excellent I’ve never tasted anything like it. The Romanian lady knew her menu front and back she even put together our meal which was perfect xx worth every penny xx

A very enjoyable meal, bruschetta, followed by a salmon dish washed down with a lovely bottle of Syrah. Excellent service. Will be back!

Had a fantastic meal and a great location for a catch up with friends. Service from start to finish was excellent and every course was very tasty. Highly recommend and great value for money.

Wonderful food, great menu, efficient and attentive service, simply nothing to fault. They even managed to accommodate us arriving early for our table. Will happily come here again next time we visit Carlisle. Highly recommended. 5/5.

Lovey food , friendly staff and good atmosphere

Dined on Saturday 5th September 2026, usual friendly staff. Both my husband and I had the prawns he said it's the best Italian meal he has ever had. Flavours were lovely and a good portion.

Absolutely amazing food, my favourite place to eat, the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, highly recommend you will not be disappointed

Best place in Carlisle by far Never ever disappointed Everything is bang on, the wine is excellent and the olives are to die for 5* all day long
