Excellent evening, great beer , great food. Cumberland sausages to die for and very well looked after by Dave, an asset to the pub 10/10 Very easy to walk to through Fitz Park from town

Nice bar with a good selection of ales. Food selection excellent and was top quality. Barman was chatty and good company. Only downside was the total lack of car parking outside, had to use a car park near by.

Despite a booking faux pad last year (not created by us I must stress) we decided to try The Pheasant again this year for Sunday lunch. The Beef pie was sublime and cooked to perfection along with gorgeous chips and seasonal vegetables. My favourite ale is Theakston Old Peculiar and in all honesty it was the best draught pint of TOP I've ever had, so thank you all at The Pheasant. My wife had the roast beef which she thought was truly excellent, the only critique would be is that the need could have been cut thinner rather than hunking great thick slices which made the best not easy to cut or chew. On the whole a lovely meal and well worth the booking.

Spent few days in Keswick and wanted and found a fantastic Sunday roast. On arriving the bar staff were welcoming and fun, classic pub very comfortable and enjoyed couple of decent pints. Food was amazing, tasty, hot, massive yorkie, crispy potatoes 10/10 followed by rare crumble which was unbelievable thank Pheasant Inn made my Sunday very special

We have a caravan in the area and The Pheasant is the best place we have found for meals, especially Sunday lunch. Dog friendly too!

Always go to The Pheasant when we're in Keswick. Great food and beer and a good atmosphere. Very cosy, proper pub.

We always dine here at least once during our annual week staying in Millbeck, near Keswick. Excellent atmosphere and food. We booked for an evening meal. Definitely worth a visit and if dining in the evening, booking advised although you may be lucky as walk ins may be available in the bar area or outside in the summer. Helpful and pleasant staff. The X4 bus stop outside will take you to Bassenthwaite and stops along the way for Millbeck.

Relaxed meal in compny of very nice dogs and people. Service good but a little abrupt at times. Food is delicious. Had venison which would have benefited from a little mashed potato.

I don’t normally leave reviews however it feels a must. Everywhere was booked over back holiday so couldn’t get a table and they had availability which made me question going. Wow. The food was amazing there was a party of 8 of us and I’ll we spoke about in the walk back was how axing the food was. 5 stars from all of us. Chatting to the staff they’ve only just been taken over by new management. Keep doing what you are doing and you guys will smash it. 5 stars from us

Have been to The Pheasant many times before and our return visit this bank holiday weekend did not disappoint. The food is always excellent and it's great you can now book a dog friendly table in the bar area. A great selection to choose from and always a nice cosy atmosphere.

Lovely country restaurant Very friendly and welcoming staff, we visited whilst on holiday as a family with our dog, what a find, food was by far outstanding, highly recommend if you're visiting the area or a local, super experience, thank you for your hospitality

We had a really warm welcome at The Pheasant in Keswick — the reception made us feel genuinely special from the moment we arrived. The service throughout was excellent: attentive without being over the top. The food was just as impressive. I started with a leek and potato soup that tasted just like something homemade — simple and comforting. For my main, I had the fish pie, which was packed with generous portions of fresh fish and full of flavour. My wife chose the baked Brie to start, followed by the Lake District beef pie, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The vegetables were all cooked beautifully. To top it off, the Old Peculier was in great condition, clearly from a well-maintained cellar. A thoroughly enjoyable visit — we happily left a £10 tip and would definitely return.

Recommend to us, and didn’t disappoint. Food was excellent and homemade. The place was busy, yet our service was perfect. Definitely need to book, and we will certainly return on our next visit to Keswick

Visited for Sunday lunch after hearing lots of good reviews and was not disappointed. The food was a delicious and plenty of it. The beef was beautiful, and the Yorkshire puddings were as big as the plate.

What a gem in Keswick. The food is superb. Locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Portions are very good. A great choice of dishes on the main menu with specials too. The Sunday lunch is to behold, yorkshire puds like a chefs hat! Just go, fabulous place, but leave me a place.

As returning customers, where we had previously had a very good experience, we were slightly disappointed this time.
