Fantastic Sunday lunch with generous portions and delicious gravy too. Really great value and service / atmosphere was extremely friendly. Dare I say the best Sunday lunch we have had for a very long time.... :)

We were staying locally on a family holiday and popped in for a drink one evening and the garden was so beautiful and the staff so friendly that we booked a table to eat the next day. The food was spot on. I'm coeliac and I am so often disappointed with the options available, but the gluten free fish and chips was pretty much the nicest I have ever had in a pub. I wish this was my local!!! They were also super dog friendly which is always appreciated.

The Old Gate Inn – MatlockFully recommend a visit to the Old Gate Inn. We were a party of 7 inc 2 children booked in for Sunday Lunch which I booked online which was a very easy process. The staff made us feel at home with a warm welcome and the service provided was excellent. The Sunday Roasts were great and enjoyed by all as was our young grandson’s sausage and mash, oh and extra gravy served without having to ask. Would definitely visit again.

A beautiful proper pub in a lovely setting. The service and staff have always been top notch, as has the food, we've enjoyed everything we've had thoroughly so far. We plan to keep returning.

Lovely cosy pub setting with beer garden, and such yummy food! Pie of the day (lamb) was brilliant. Will be back one day :-) lovely friendly staff too and quick service.
