great service and the food was amazing. They recently reduced their menu but still have lots of tasty menu items to choose from. We have eaten here several times and its always been a fantastic experience.

Visited for the second time in a month last week and found everything just as good. Proper old fashioned home cooked roast lunch at a great price. Service is great, will definitely be back again.

We absolutely loved the food, tasty and fresh, and delicious, we had an evening meal and breakfast, would highly recommend the onion rings. Full English was very tasty, bacon and sausages were yummy.

First visit to pub,although been past many times. What a lovely pub,Sunday roast was gorgeous,pub is great,staff lovely, great service . Highly recommend!

Really nice meal followed by a good quiz night, what could be better. It was our first event and we were made to feel very welcome, definitely be back!

Excellent food,service and atmosphere

We went to one of the astronomy/stargazing sessions at the Poltimore, excellent evening, fully recommended. We saw the lodges and decided to book one for an evening stay, and also book a meal in the restaurant. Our meal for 7 people was lovely, great menu choice and fabulous food.

Fab food as always and amazing staff. Will be returning!! Best chicken burger around.

Had a delicious lunch at the Castle. Yorkshire puddings were exceptional- crispy roast potatoes. Some of the veg was slightly al dente, but a minor niggle. Lovely atmosphere & staff & service were great.

A fantastic village pub. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Drinks and meals served promptly . Food was very tasty and good value for money.

Had a lovely family Sunday lunch here to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. Food was excellent, with plenty of choice including carvery. Staff were very friendly and helpful and made for an really great experience. Would definitely recommend and we will be visiting again. Thank you

Amazing food it was delicious, nice atmosphere. Disappointed there was no kids pizza after it was shown on the menu , slow service but understandable on a Saturday night (we had offered to pre book as we were a big group)
