My starter was baked feta, Greek salad, and flat bread, which is difficult to get wrong, but managed here (bread toasted to concrete, miniscule salad, no onions, rocket!). I think I was just unlucky though - everyone else's starters were very good, and the main courses were excellent. Very good service, nice atmosphere, very well priced set menu. Definitely recommended.

in a similar price bracket to many other modern eateries but the quality of ingredients and skill of the chefs was remarkable. by far the best value for money anywhere. Its no suprise that tables can be a little difficult to get hold of! would eat there every week if i could find a good reason to get fat.

When we first went to the restaurant as non-vegetarians we were a little wary! However, we were all delighted with the quality and flavour of the dishes. The traditional meal of bangers and mash had been beautifully adapted with cheesey sausages. Vegetarian black pudding - is it possible? Most definitely. We will certainly revisit.

Didsbury has been crying out for a reasonably sized, good quality tandoori restaurant such as this for a number of years now. Knowing Burton Road very well and the restaurant that used to be based at this site we were slightly sceptical about going but having heard that the Namaste is connected with the Great Kathmandu on Burton Road we had to give it a try and were not disappointed. We went in a group of 11 and all had fantastic meals; starters are enormous and very well priced, really good choice of veggie food - a 2 course meal including drinks cost our group about £16 per head. The lights could do with being dimmed slightly but staff were all lovely and tables situated very spaciously apart. Lets just hope the typical Didsbury crowd don't find this and turn it into a restaurant full of loud mouthed wannabies!!!!!!

Visited for 1st time on 18th August with friends, including one who has been in culinary / catering arena all her life. She was very impressed by the variety and ingenuity in the menu and the dishes we had. Very special and reasonably priced. However, a mild warning - it's so popular and small that you may need climbing equipment to get to your seat. Also the lack of soft furnishings means noise levels are high - conversation was frequently difficult!

I had Paddy one of the then owners show me how to create one of his then signature meals of roast duck with the raspberry & vinegar reduction sauce. Fantastic chef & always great food.. On another occasion Paddy showed me monkfish rapped in bacon with lemon & butter sauce.. Another fantastic meal

What a fantastic place. As a vegetarian i worried there wouldn't be alot of choice. There was. I had the best meal there ever last night and i would go back again and again. Great, 10 out of 10

i love the imaginative, delicious food at Greens but, as a vegetarian of 17 years, was disappointed on my last visit to find Boddingtons and Guinness within the food recipes, neither of which are suitable for vegetarians due to the use of animal products in the production process. I know that the owner isn't vegetarian but would appeal to him to ensure that all ingredients used in the restaurant have been confirmed to be suitable for vegetarians. It is difficult enough being 'truly' vegetarian eating out generally and it would surely enhance the appeal of the place if vegetarians could rest assured that they were eating a cruelty-free meal!

I took my partner for a meal on Friday night having heard good feedback on Jem & I. I was not to be let down... On arriving the hospitality shown was excellent, full descriptions on all food and helpful with wine choice. Starters were wonderful, mains exceptional and the wine of the week excellent. Will definitely go back to Jem & I to experience again.

We went to the Laughing Buddha for a meal after reading the good reviews. I certainly wasn't disappointed. The restaurant was a little quiet midweek which is a shame because this place ought to be full every night. This is simply great food. We had the buffet meal for two. it was all delicious. I have never had prawn toast this good, the main dishes were exceptionally good but by the time these were served we already content. We will be going here again for sure.

Third time we have dined here and again not disappointed at all. Food tasted great and the service was great too. Suggest people look at the offer to eat early on stated evenings as it works out very inexpensive for a great meal.

I'm eagerly awaiting the time when I have the opportunity and/or spare cash to dine here again (hopefully soon). I have eaten in many restaurants in Manchester and this is surely one of the best. The food is excellent, not too fussy, with the emphasis on quality ingredients expertly cooked. If you're in a simple food kind of mood I thoroughly recommend the fish and chips with Manchester caviar, which just melts in your mouth. The beef is gorgeous too. The service is good but could be a touch better in a restaurant of this calibre, but that's about my only-very mild- complaint.

Six of us went on a Friday night, the place was heaving but the service was very good and the food was excellent. Only one of our group was veggie but when the food is this good, who needs meat? Will definitely be going again. I don't think there was one thing on the menu that I wouldn't try. Fantastic

The restaurant and the food was everything that I had expected after seeing Simon on TV and I will be a regular visitor. I would recommend anyone to visit Greens this must be the best vegetarian restaurant in the country, oh and the blackpudding is superb.

Quality food and brilliant service I go there many times. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants I would recommend. Also good for take out and delivery service.

This is the best restaurant in Manchester ! Forget the city centre get yourself down to Jem & I. Every time I?e eaten their with my wife and parents the food has been spot on, the service is fantastic too, very attentive but not obtrusive. The wine list is great, with some brilliant value wines and some really snazzy ones too. A great location, Go and have a fantastic meal in Jem's then a bit of live music in pitcher n piano... I want to live in Didsbury !
