Absolutely Awful. Having heard good things about this place we decided to go for some dinner on the way into town for a night out. Really strange menu comprising student favourites alongside more sophisticated dishes costing considerably more that much better alternatives in the city centre. In the end we opted for Chilli Nachos x2. At £7 a throw we expected great things but what we actually got was a luke warm bowl of second rate chilli with a pile of cheap, overly salty, broken tortilla chips (probably from Netto or similar). They need to have a look at what you get in establshments such as Kro or Chiquitos for less money. While these things can happen it says something about the quality of the kitchen staff that something prepared with so little care and attention even made it out of the door. Its also worth mentioning that the table next door sent theirs back because it was cold. Service was also appalling! Avoid like the plague.

A brilliant mother's day treat! Obviously very busy but the food and service were excellent. All the staff worked very hard to ensure satisfaction and nothing was too much trouble for our party of 13. Look forward to our next visit.

After reading positive reviews on this site, we were extremely disappointed by our first experience of Laughing Buddah last night. The starter, hot and sour soup (£5), was far too thick with the consistency of sweet and sour sauce. It contained shrimp, rather than king prawns as described on the menu. My main course, Kung Po, was mediocre, as one might expect from any Chinese take away. My partner ordered a curry dish, which was also disappointing. Although the portion sizes were generous, this restaurant is very overpriced in light of the substandard quality of the food! The menu was confusing with far too much on offer, Gordon Ramsey would not be happy! Spend your money elsewhere, like Fuzion in Fallowfield - great and original food!

We had our Christmas meal here and the food was wonderful. parking is a bit of a pain, but that's soon forgotten as the restaurant is very small but cosy and the staff are very helpful. price was good and quality of the meal was great, i loved the menu and i would definitely go back again for another special occasion.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT - ABSOLUTELY AWFUL The food was tasteless sludge. Service lazy and poor - order taken was incorrect and the 'correct' dish served amazingly quickly. Not sure if the correct dish was actually served as tasteless, oily and unidentifiable. Comments about the quality of the food met with a disinterested smile and nod. Bill delivered to the table without being requested. Not a pleasant meal.

25/01/08 Just had a wonderful lunch on my first visit to Jem and I. Service was excellent, food was excellent and very good value for money

Booked a table, this was a Saturday in Dec. When we got there was seated and then the waiter disappeared for an hour. There seemed to be only 2 waiters on in the whole restaurant and the kitchens seemed busy with the take aways instead. I think the restaurant is over rated and we ended up walking out and went to rusholme. Got instant service with free starters, free coffee and excellent service. I would definitely not go back to the Great Kathmandu.

Booked a table at 7.45. Waited 15mins for the table to be available. Small measures of wine. They were out of fish, which left me with 4 options on the menu. If you dont want pasta/pizza there isnt a huge option. I ordered the lamb, with sweet potatoes instead on polenta. But I got normal potatoes instead. It was a nice atmosphere. I would go back...but not in a hurry!

I have been the Moon Restaurant on 2 occasions now and both times have been a night to remember. The staff can not do enough for you; the food is I must say unlike any Indian curries that I have had before. There is no grease swimming on the top of you dish and the rice is the fluffiest I have ever experienced. The nan bread is fresh made from the oven straight to you table and they have the nicest keema nann, made as spicy or as bland as you like. A recent survey (the independent news paper) says that the Moon Indian is the 4th best Indian curry house in the UK, I can tell you I live 40 miles away from the restaurant and it is worth every mile of the drive. If the Moon keeps up the quality of food and service I am sure they will be pushing that number 1 spot pretty soon.

Disappointing to say the least. Difficult to find cheese free options. One main course was to spicy, even for this chilli lover, with no aromatic notes to save it. My starter was tasteless, main course uninspired. Even the cream served with one pudding was on the turn. Not good. And to make matters worse on our tables was a flyer for the Xmas menu. Advertised as available on the date we visited at the time we visited was identical to the menu we were handed but significantly cheaper. Seriously unimpressed.

Had a wonderful meal at Azzurro on New Years Eve, menu was amazing, great atmosphere and service as always. I could honestly say that I must have had the best dish in my life. It was slow cooked Rabbit "agro dolce" served with fresh tagliatelle. This is now definitely my favourite restaurant in Manchester.

Introduced to the Third Eye by our friends Rand and Carole. My wife and I usually try the Makhan Chicken and a Chili Chicken, washed down with a couple of large bottles of Kathmandu beer. The two dishes work well together. The food has always tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The service is excellent. When we first walked into the place I said that it had the wonderful aroma of the Rajdoot in Manchester. I then found that the original Chef had worked at the Rajdoot. As the Rajdoot was always my favourite restaurant for Makhan Chicken I then ordered the dish and was pleasantly surprised. As Didsbury is closer than the Central Manchester and parking is easier we now eat at the Original Third Eye I have no connections with the establishment other than enjoying the food. Six of us ate at Azzurro on Dec 8 and I would agree with the glowing reviews of this charming, little Italian ristorante. Lovely atmosphere, attentive and smiling staff, delicious food. Two courses (no pizzas or pasta), two bottles of Valpolicella and a few soft drinks, no desserts but coffees, our bill came to £215 including service. Not cheap but very good value. We'll be going back.

I have made a comment already on this website about the Met, but I visited there again last night and had to put finger to keyboard once more. It was amazing, I went with my parents and my dad and I shared the fish pie!!!! There was enough for 3 people easier but somehow we managed to polish it off between the two of us. Maybe that was because it was so delicious!!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and everything was perfect. The Met is now officially my favourite place in West Didders!

The superb quality has never dipped in dozens of visits. Brilliant value. Utterly reliable. But don't tell anyone else - we don't want it to be packed out!

Our favourite restaurant! We have enjoyed many many meals there. We love all the seafood especially the seabass, seabream and calamari. The staff is so friendly and the service excellent. The atmosphere is very relaxed. A must!

We found this place by chance and have gone back time and time again. The staff are friendly and the food is always excellent. We've eaten at loads of Italian restaurants in Manchester and this is easily the most consistently good. For me it's up there, if not better than, Stock and San Carlo and isn't nearly as pretentious.

Me and my wife came to Azzurro on Thursday night and it was almost full. Luckily we booked and got a lovely table by the brick wall. Seafood specials were amazing, spoiled for choice. I had chargrilled calamari to start and seabass fillet for my main course. Calamari were really tasty and Seabass came with a crab meat & king prawn fish cake, sweet balsamic & chilli sauce and a king prawn ravioli. Food was wonderfull. We really enjoyed our evening. Will be back soon .
