Food was delicious.staff were excellent as always.

Went for meal on Saturday 6th April with a friend. We only had a main meal and both ordered the fish and chips. Was absolutely delicious. The fish was so fresh and tasty and the batter melted in your mouth. Chips were skinny fries and very nice. The mushy peas were freshly made and perfect. Would recommend this dish and will definitely have this again. The service was friendly and very helpful. Cannot fault the Ravelston restaurant.

We were warmly greeted. The restaurant was lovely . We ordered our meals and enjoyed . We went on to order 4 desserts and 3 came out I asked for a scoop of ice cream with mine. My sister in law was still waiting on her cheese board We waited and waited my sister and brother had finished theirs and we were still waiting. In the end I got up and looked for someone. The man in the table next to ours wanted to pay his bill. He was also waiting . I went round and looked in the bar there was no one there either . I came back and waited it came but all too late. My sister in law had to take the cheese home with her. Think they forgot us all. This happened on a previous visit. The food was lovely no complaints about this . Maybe the waiting staff need to be on the ball a bit or maybe someone extra if they are too busy . The girl we had though was very pleasant .

Shocking, booked a table for 3 people for 3pm arrived early and shown to our table, ordered food , 3 roast dinners 2.50pm by 3.45 no food asked the waitress she said there was a 30 minute delay?? But she would speak with kitchen I’m still waiting, needless to say we didn’t receive our meal and left will not be returning.

Easter Sunday lunch, was busy as expected, but service was quick and staff attentive. Good portions of the food which was delicious and well presented.

Dreadful experience, restaurant full of noisy kids and adults not what my wife and I expected at that time of night.

Was here for Sunday lunch from start to finish we were made welcome given drinks order taken food was great not rushed staff attentive but not pushy highly recommended

Thank you so much to the staff at The Ravelston for making our family event run so smoothly. We really appreciated your care and help - plus the food was delicious. We were in the private room, which is perfect for a group of 10 -12 and is beautifully done up.

Love the bar in the Ravelston but went for lunch in the main restaurant for a change last Sunday and it was very enjoyable. Staff very friendly and attentive, food was lovely and good value.

Absolutely delicious meal, Fantastic service and great atmosphere. The Sunday Roast dinner is to die for! Will definitely be back.

Food was very good and generous sized portions. Between us we had haggis bon bons, brie and soup starters and all good. Most of us had haddock and chips which was huge. We were put in separate room for our birthday celebrations and staff were very friendly, attentive and efficient. We all thought it was value for money and would go again.

Went with friend for an afternoon tea. Friendly staff and great service. The food was good sandwiches were extremely fresh, the only criticism would be that the scones were tiny!

Average food, premium price. The haddock was overcooked and very dry. Not great considering they charge the best part of £20 for a full one. Much better food at the chippy down the road. The macaroni was bland, and the same size as the child’s portion. The salad on the plate was old and not edible. Don’t spend £15 on this. The curry was extremely spicy, but no indication of level of spice on the menu. Advertised outside that kids eat free during the holidays, but charged us £7.50 for our kid’s meal. They brought my wife out the wrong course, didn’t apologise, and acted like we were inconveniencing them resolving the issue. My wife had to eat alone after we had all finished. Unfriendly waitress who looked like she really didn’t want to be there. Don’t waste your money, go somewhere else.

Fantastic meal. Busy Saturday night but service was great, the waiter was attentive and quick at replenishing our drinks. Everyone's food was excellent.

We had the Steak Pie, pastry let it down, didn't seem fresh.
