Grumpys Diner – SouthendMy friend and I both ordered the Buddha Bowl. Beautiful, colourful presentation of about a dozen different plant based food items. Everything was delicious. We are looking forward to coming again, very soon, for lunch. We took cakes with us. My friend said the chocolate brownies were potentially the best she had ever tasted. The date slice was full of yummy dates; the plain chocolate decoration certainly enhanced the overall flavour.

If I had to critique, I wasnt sure if one of the sausages was cooked fully through so we left it to the side, however I didn't complain because the rest of the breakfast was amazing and more than enough food!

Easy to book, excellent service from friendly staff, a good selection of food and drinks - all in pleasand surroundings. My halloumi salad was so so tasty. I live an hour away, but if I was closer I'd be visiting all the time!

The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterBooked for 2 of us for Breakfast. The atmosphere is lovely very warm and welcoming. The quality of the produce was amazing and the food was nicely presented. Unfortunately it took 50 minutes for our food order to arrive. The waitress took it to the wrong table at first, when we queried it was for our table she then had to take it back to the kitchen to confirm it was the food we ordered. The delay in receiving the food did dampen our overall experience which is a shame especially when the restaurant wasn’t full we were unsure of the holdup and at no point were we addressed by the waitress team to explain the delay or ask if we required another hot drink while we waited. Lovely restaurant, fantastic food but disappointing service.
