The Barn Garden Centre Cafe – ColchesterThis is my second lunch at The Barn - the first being just before Christmas. This time we sat in the sun and it was glorious. The food is fantastic (we tried the tart of the day - spicy salmon - and the omelettes, both of which were delicious. Special mention to the amazing chips though, that were crispy and fluffy in all the right places!). The service is so friendly and helpful and down to earth. The drive to The Barn is really pretty, making it a perfect lead-in to the loveliness of The Barn itself. This is definitely becoming a firm favourite!

I'm gluten free and always have there scrambled eggs they are the best. They have a truly gifted chef. When you can master the basic you've got talent. You won't get better eggs anywhere else even in London. Hang on to your chef he's excellent.
