Good was ok, not up to usual standard. Pork belly was so hard you couldn’t even cut it with a knife. It was sent back and my husband chose something else. They were good like that. When we got the bill, that was wrong, the pork belly was still left in there and I had chosen the set menu only to be charged individually for the items I had.

The food was as good as ever and the lady that served us could not have worked harder bearing in mind that it was a full house. I have no hesitation in recommending it and we will be back again without a second thought.

Surroundings are very pleasant, service brisk and the staff all friendly and welcoming. Good value, too.

The Ship Gidea Park – RomfordHad a great meal at The Blue Anchor.. the service was amazing & well informed of dishes.. a very cosy atmosphere & quite romantic to be perfectly honest. The only negative was myself & the table behind us had to put our jackets on as we were sitting in the overflow restaurant which was just as beautiful as the main restaurant but was quite cold … I had a draught on my leg where there was a gap in the wall .. I didn’t see any heating like the main restaurant that had a log burner that was the only negative… however would definitely recommend & we will return but will ask for table in main restaurant..
