Ship Inn – FreckletonFort San Antone was a great night out but the place is in need of some TLC. The tiles are falling off the walls in the toilets and the roof leaks when it rains. For anyone thinking of staying in the motel, I would advise against it unless you are prepared to really rough it. The first impression of our room was that it stank of creosote or some other sort of wood preserver. The floor was so spongy that you thought you may go through it in places. It contained an assortment of furniture that looked as if it had been picked up at a yard sale. The room had obviously not been properly cleaned for some time and when I came to put my clothes in one of the drawers, it was full of mouse droppings. Not for the delicate or faint-hearted!
Fort San Antone – FreckletonI don't Agree with all your other reviewers I have had a bad meal at this restaurant and wont be going again. You should be fair and show all reviews good or bad and you so obviously only print good ones. This does not give a fair picture I have friends who have also had bad meals there so it was not just a one off. Give the wider picture.
Had a wonderful meal here last week. Good service, food and wine. The best place to eat in that area.
Truly an amazing experience which was recommended to me by one of the regular performers, Billy 'Bubba' King. We came up from London to stay at Blackpool and visited the ranch on Saturday and Sunday afternoon (4th & 5th Sept.) with some friends and were made to feel very welcome. It was good to see great entertainment and the floor full of line dancers. The atmosphere was incredible and everyone was friendly. The Sunday lunchtime food was more than we expected - never seen a rack of ribs that size !!. I spoke to Dave who explained how this venue had grown from its humble beginnings with Tony Hadlow singing, to the great family run business it is now. We listened to Tony's CD on the way back - lovely voice. Will return soon!!
Fort San Antone – FreckletonFantastic night out. Really friendly atmosphere. The best steak I have ever tasted cooked over a charcoal grill. They are huge. Where else do you get that sort of food on the Fylde. Great price too. They also seem to do the biggest ribs I have ever seen.
Fort San Antone – Freckletonreally good food, impeccable service, very clean and presentable, value for money is unrivalled for miles, very highly recommended.
The Raj – FreckletonLorenzo's is by far the best restaurant in the fylde. The food is excellent and the service is on par with what you expect at a 5 star hotel. Will return most definitely. Cannot fault the place. my new favourite restaurant.
The food quality was excellent but the man who took our order needs to address his attitude as we was a 4 person party going to dine at his restaurant for the first time.I can only say we were all disgusted with the mans attitude it was over priced & out dated restaurant witch we spent £69 1 mixed grill + 2 sirloins steaks + 2 sauces & 1 starter no drinks,There was some bread rolls put on the table which were like rocks which we might of been charged for? was there a service charge? our bill should have come to £56 we ordered a taxis & paid the unchecked bill which we only thought of later to check but we left at the restaurant. A bad experience & we have been to hundreds of restaurants over the years i will never recommend rigbys to anyone only slag it off to as many people as i can.
Rigbys Farmhouse Restaurant – FreckletonWell what can i say......i was very dissapointed with Rigbys. When we ordered the food the manager seemed very off with us,being polite would have been nice.Food was ok but nothing too special. Will not be goin to Rigbys again. There are much better place to go in the Northwest.Stay clear off this place
Rigbys Farmhouse Restaurant – FreckletonLoved the Raj. Good food, service, and value; my current favourite curryhouse round here.
The Raj – FreckletonThe welcome ,food, wine ,all excellent,,delicious home made bread to start all meals fresh local produce and sooo tasty our favourite place to eat now ,and the price for 2 courses under £10 Excellent 10 out of 10
Great little curryhouse - the food here is truly amazing - much better than the bigger more expensive places all around. Friendly staff. Can't beat it for an great Indian.
The Raj – FreckletonNow here is a real gem if you appreciate good Indian food. The Raj isn't the plushest, most sophisticated place, but it's spotlessly clean with really, really good food. In fact i've not eaten Indian food that's been as good as this for a long time and certainly not anywhere else in the Fylde. Chris J Woodplumpton
The Raj – FreckletonWhen driving down the little country lane that takes you to Rigbys, I was in awe!! Such a nice setting, the staff were welcoming and friendly. Our table sat down to huge plates of Lamb Chops, Fillet Steak, Sirloin Steak and the brave person on our table sat down to a Mix Grill (Sirloin Steak, Pork Chop, Lamb Chop, Gammon, Cumberland Sausage, Black Pudding!!) It was huge!! All locally sourced from neighbouring farms we were informed. As much veg and potatoes as you liked, the waitress informed us, if you run out just ask for more, there was little chance of that happening though! You could not argue with the prices, very reasonable. Wine list was also excellent we had a great House Merlot and Bottle of Black Shiraz. Well worth a trip!!
Rigbys Farmhouse Restaurant – FreckletonAfter reading the comments on here i am very surprised. Myself and my partner visited on Friday evening, an I have not had a worse experience. Food was extremely outdated. Restaurant is shabby and all in all, I honestly felt I had gone back in time 20 years. I did not eat more than a taste of my main course, chicken was raw, the sauce made me feel nauseous. My partner was served melon in a monstrosity of an electric blue ice cream bowl, with a curly green straw protruding from it! I strongly recommend you don't waste your money here. On my way home I was expecting to look on sugarvine and peruse everyone elses' complaints. So i have to strongly disagree with the rest of the comments.
An absolute gem of a restaurant. From the moment you walk in the door the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food easily lives up to the expectations created by the extensive and interesting menu (and that's before you consider the ever changing specials board). Service is attentive without ever being intrusive and the prices are very reasonable. All in all it adds up to a most enjoyable and relaxing evening, no other italian restaurant on the Fylde comes close.
I have to admit that Rigbys is one of the best hidden gems for good honest food. It is well priced and has a lovely atmosphere. You are made welcome from the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, but be warned if you don't have a huge appetite don't have a starter before the mixed grill. It has to be tried as well as the duck which has always been cooked to perfection and served with seasonal veg and two types of potatoes. Would recommend it to everyone once you have been you cant help yourself going back again and again.
