Lorenzo's restaurant. This is just the best Italian restaurant I have ever been to including the ones I have visited in Milan, Rome, Desenzano, Sorrento, Venice, Verona and Brindisi. Look no further for the rudest and most arrogant staff, overpriced ordinary food and shambolic service. Claims to serve northern Italian food but it doesn't in reality. The laminated menu features a picture of Desenzano and Lake Garda which is as close as it gets to the real thing. Will only ever return to gloat when it ceases trading which cant be too far away. Thank heaven for Salvatores, at least they make you feel appreciated and are grateful you have chosen their restaurant and not the Lorenzo way of we are doing you a favour by allowing you in to eat.

we visited here on Sat 27/12/08 the meal was excellant and plenty of it. My husband and son had the mixed grill and they were very glad they didn't have a starter

We are Rigby Regulars and it never disappoints. The standard of food is consistently excellent. All the staff at Rigby's work hard to give you the sense that you are invited into the family home rather than a restaurant, which is further re-enforced by the generous portions. The menu and wine list are both easy to understand with a broad range which should satisfy most. The "local" feel is a big positive too!

We have been to Lorenzo's dozens of times and have never been disappointed in the excellent quality of the food and the very good service. I would say it is the best restaurant on the Fylde for value. The chicken livers are the best I have ever had. The house wine is always very good, varied, and very reasonable in price. I always look forward to going back to Lorzenzo's and we shall be going again next week.

We live locally so use Barnacle Bills on a regular basis. One of the best pieces of fish in the business. This is what a local chip shop should be like.

Went to Lorenzos for our friends 60th birthday and wanted to put up balloons so went a bit early than our set time found two of the staff very rude on entering the restaurant and made us feel very uncomfortable. Service wasn't very good but the food made up for that. Not a venue we would choose again to celebrate a colleagues momentous occasion or any occasion but the young tall waiter was wonderful.

Superb. Without doubt the very best Italian Restaurant we have been to. Food and Wine excellent. Service 10 out of 10. What a Gem

Visited the farmhouse for the first time tonight,(we are local so don't know why we haven't been before!) The setting was beautiful, the food was glorious, the staff were lovely, and, I can not believe the quality of the house Shiraz! Will most definitely be returning!!!!!

im sorry to say this is most definitely not a recommendation, as a hi life diner i eat out at least 5 times a month and never have i had such a humiliating and unbelievable experience as tonight. not being petty but having read good reviews i was surprised when on arrival we were left standing in the doorway, after approaching the barmen we were seated, the girls ordered a bottle of rose and the way the waiter poured it reminded me of diesel glugging from a can, our meals arrived quite quickly and we were amused at the quirky presentation, i was only a few mouthfuls into my meal when i spotted a hair, i pulled on it cringing as it seemed to go on forever, me and my friend both have short hair and the girls are both blonde, this hair was very long and black! I left the hair part way in the food and called the waiter over, i pointed to the hair and discretely tried to explain, his attitude was instantly hostile, he himself was not discreet and he asked how a hair could get in all our food, i explained no not all of ours just mine, there was no apology and my replacement seabass arrived shortly after, the seabass was extremely nice and i was nearing the end of my meal when i felt a crunch in my mouth, i thought I'd cracked a tooth, i searched around my plate turning over the very small piece of seabass i had left and couldn't believe when i found what looked like a piece of terracota pot, i put my head down in disbelief collected the object and again discretely approached the manager at the bar, he took the object into the kitchen, he then returned saying that it was a piece of brick and nothing of that type is in his kitchen,to which he then began very loudly accusing me of planting the hair and the piece of brick in the food to which i was astounded!! He said to me "so what do you want to do?" i replied "well im sorry i refuse to pay" to which he replied "i knew you would say that, thats what this is about" he wanted to stand and argue with me, i just gathered up my embarrassed friends and left, as he was shouting behind us, my girlfriends last words to him were "read my reviews on the internet, your disgraceful"

We have been to Lorezo's many many times, each time has been great, you cannot fault the food, service or the decor, we will definitely keep going back - in fact this week The variety of food is great not sure that we have had the same thing twice as there is so much variety - if it is on the special board and you fancy it, have it, it will be a long time, if ever, before it is back again.

Had a great meal with friends at Lorenzos on Saturday night.I had the Seabass on risotto, whilst my guests all ate from the specials board.A great dining experience with attentive friendly service. And the added bonus of being in easy walking distance from home.Well done to all the team at lorenzos we'll be back!!

I have visited The Plough for food on several occasions, and each time I have been more than impressed with the standard of food and the level of service. Not to mention the generous portions yet very good prices.

This restaurant was recommended by friends Colin and Adrienne and we all go regularly. It is the best food, value for money and dining experience I have ever come across. The menu changes regularly and with every change the opportunity to try something new and wonderful.

A truly unique dining experience and a must for those who like their steaks big and piled high. If you are into the country and western thing then you really must go there!

On hearing a new chef had arrived at the Plough, I decided to go and try the food one Tuesday evening. The notice explained that everything is prepared fresh, therefore, I accepted in advance there would be a wait. The food arrived within 20 mins and was very very good. My son had chicken goujons from the children? menu - these were home made! My husbands burger was huge and chips home made. I asked for some tartare sauce when I ordered and when the food arrived, the waitress explained the chef had made it fresh. For the money we paid, the food was fantastic - restaurant quality.
