We went out for a meal on Thursday evening for a change and sat in the top corner of the downstairs bar area. I initially thought upstairs would be much nicer when you’re coming out for a 3 course meal with wine etc HOWEVER, I was mistaken. With the guidelines in place and the table service the ambience was perfect. We had a fab evening and this was my first time eating out for an evening meal since before March. The food was amazing and we both felt the same about our meals. I had prawn, chorizo in chilli sauce with crusty bread and he had homemade duck rolls which he really raves about. Then I had sea bass with prawns, chorizo, veg and sweet potato fries, followed by Ice cream for him and chocolate brownie with ice cream for me. We swished it down with a couple of beers (him), a gin (me) and a beautiful bottle of Shiraz. The whole evening was really great. I personally was thrilled that our first venture out together since before March was so lovely and went so well, as I am still very Covid cautious. The whole bar area was set out great with clear partitions between tables and bar. The new arrangements are clearly more tiresome for staff and they deserve a medal for all they are having to do in general and between each table booking. Well done Nick and Karen and thank you for all you are doing to keep us safe but entertained, it is much appreciated. We will certainly come again .... as after all, it is our local and we have missed you, and the beer he would say. xxx

Table for 4 with friends. All the food, as ever, was excellent and so tasty. We all had a different meal and each one was lovely. I had the sea bass for the 2nd time in 2 weeks!! It really was delicious. Thanks to the staff for all their hard work

Booked a table for 4 we where seated upstairs which was fine, ordered drinks then starters and main course , food came out in good time and was absolutely delicious , all four of us ordered different meals and tried each other's , the steak was cooked perfectly and just melted in my mouth . Only negative was the restraunt was extremely hot , this was due to the weather but only one ceiling fan which didn't help us in the corner , the food was lovely , service was great but would not go again when it's warm as made for an uncomfortable evening.

Lovely meal at the Helter Skelter food excellent,but made more enjoyable by how well organised it was given our current Covid crisis.The measures in place have been thought out well and don't detract from eating out.Well done Nick,Karen and the Team for making the experience enjoyable

Went out for our anniversary to use the Help Out to Eat Out scheme. First time eating here and the food was plentiful and excellent. Staff were very friendly and very efficient. No long waits for food or drinks which is great in the current climate

We have enjoyed many meals and have never had a bad one. Always perfectly cooked with lovely fresh vegetables.

Great to see the place open. We felt very safe and that the management had taken all the guidelines seriously.

Go about once a month an eat at Oswalds, always good quality food and staff friendly, its got a casual atmosphere which is just what you want after work on a week day.

Fantastic, we popped in for Lunch on Sunday and wow, what a find, I had the Sunday Lunch which was perfect and my husband had the Pork Belly, the best he has ever had. Will be returning for sure, well worth a visit.

My wife and I eat regularly at this restaurant and I do not recognise it as the same place described above. In my humble opinion it is a wonderful welcoming place and the food has always been first class. We have frequented a number of Chinese restaurants and this has to be one of the best which is why we keep going back. I cannot speak more highly of this restaurant. or the lovely staff.

We often visit the Carriers Inn in Hatchmere. The food is absolutely deeelicious and there is always a happy atmosphere there. The portions are of the size to guarantee you will feel like you have had great value for money. A great range of food and offer a gluten free variety of many meals on their menu. Their desserts are to die for!!! It is in a lovely setting with hatchmere lake behind it and delamere forest just up the road. An absloutely lovely restaurant, I cannot recommend it enough.

delamere fortune palace review. I must say the food from the fortune palace can be described in one word, appalling.. ordered 2 meals to enjoy at home and even the simple things were unbelievably bad. From stodgy rice, to pure fat ribs, a beef curry that was swimming in oil to king prawns that were just awful and what can be described as half a portion.. In summary i would advise anyone just not to bother even trying this food as i do not know how this restaurant is still in business or the chef in a job.. Expensive and unbelievably poor quality..

We visited on a Friday evening taking advantage of the 3 courses for £15.95 menu. Free tapas to start is a lovely touch, the food was really tasty and a good choice was available. Service was quick, friendly and attentive. Brilliant price for a lovely meal - definitely worth a visit, we'll be going back.
