Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonThis place has changed hands recently New young staff finding their feet so there have been a few teething problems however I visited on Easter Sunday with a group or 8 and the food and service was faultless My daughter and I both thought it was the nicest roast dinner we have had in a very long time Give this place a try...we will definitely be going again
Ship at Elswick – Great EcclestonFirst class all round!
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonMade a reservation for Sunday dinner , waited over an hour for our food , it came luke warm with hot gravy , cheeses missing off kids cheese burgers , chunky chips soggy . Very disappointed. Noticed a sign saying expect to wait upto an hour for your food at peak times , had we been told this when entering we would have gone elsewhere which I wish we had . £80 for food that was just average
Ship at Elswick – Great EcclestonFantastic meal. French onion soup and suet pudding for me! A couple of lovely pints of real ale and the wine was great too.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonFab impromptu meal at the Cartford the other night. Really interesting menu choices and they always have very good blackboard specials too. I had the turbot this time (how often do you see that on a menu round here?) and previously had a delish hare pasta dish. My wife had a beautiful rib-eye from the main menu and it’s a really good wine list too – the Bourgueil was excellent and very well priced. Friendly and knowledgeable staff too.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonHad a lovely meal the other evening @ cartford.we were just after an nice easy early tea, good food, good atmosphere.because we were quite early, the guy said the window tables were booked from a certain time but he could fit us in if we fancied a nice view.good start. i had rib-eye and the mrs had fish pie.both were perfect, although the fish pie just tipped the steak.the service was good and friendly.nice clientelle in there.pleasantly reasonable prices, although we didn't have a great deal to drink but we certainly felt good value for money. overall, very pleasurable experience
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonThere’s a lovely feel to the Farmers and the all-round package of décor, food and staff is a winner. I would be quite happy if this was my local; sadly, it isn’t.
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonExcellent mothers day lunch. Service, food and venue all spot on!
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonHello Farmer's; My wife Jean and I had a Beautiful Dinner last night . . Jean had one of her favourite's , The Fritto Misto,; and I chose the Hake with Thai flavoured Rice and vegetables from the Special's;. . .I cannot praise the Chef highly enough for the utter Quality of the cooked Hake; and flavours of the meal. It was one of Three Stunning meal's I have had in different Restaurant's in the past 5 year's. Thank You. (PS, So wrapped in the food we ( us and the Staff ) completely overlooked that we had booked in the 'NEW YEAR "18 deal and did not get our 20% discount last night but I was very kindly reminded this morning by phone, that we will be receiving a Voucher to the equivalent value; We dined on TABLE 3
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonAnother great meal at the Farmers. We went as part of their Seafood Week and I took advantage of the ‘Oysters & Prosecco’ offer as a starter and then had a halibut risotto from their daily specials. Looking forward to returning for Lobster Friday!
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonAnother fabulous pub to add to my 'must go' list! The staff are lovely and very friendly and are very accommodating for the canine members of the family. The pub is nicely decorated and it has a warm and welcoming feel with a traditional country pub atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious, with a good selection from the menu for the delectation of the most attuned palate, using quality local ingredients. As a real ale lover, I always like to see a good selection and this was certainly the case; I had a few pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord and they were amazing! Fantastic first trip here and we will certainly be going back. Highly recommended.
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonBest eatery on the Fylde coast easily. Never been disappointed. catered for our large party expertly. My French onion soup and suet pudding looked and tasted epic. Good selection of wines and we enjoyed their Rioja and Gevrey Chambertin. The young waiting team are unlike other young waiting teams. Drilled, friendly, mature, cool and attractive. Think that is a result the owners really looking after their staff. Monday night is staff night, food, booze and music.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonVisited the Cartford last Friday for a wine tasting and my first time in their new function room, The River House. Wow – what a place for a private party. A really appealing rustic feel to it.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonLoving the new menu and the new Deli, this place goes from strength to strength. Only complaint my favourite dessert is now only available in the deli!
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonA large group of us went out to the Farmers in Great Eccleston for a Mother’s Day evening meal. Considering there were 18 of us on one table on one of the busiest days of the year, the young waiting staff coped very, very well. The Fish Pie and the Fish and Chips got a big thumbs up!
Farmers Arms – Great EcclestonWe chose The Cartford Inn for one of our clubs get togethers on Saturday. There were 12 of us however the service was excellent from the young team for such a large party. The food matched the service. An award winning venue and we know why! Excellent.
Cartford Inn – Great EcclestonBeen many times, fantastic food. Staff are extremely helpful.
