We had lunch on Wednesday. It was without exception superb. Each course was not only outstanding it was served by the most pleasant staff. There was plenty of each course served and we finished with the meringue laced with summer fruits which was the finest we have ever had. The best meal we have had for years.

Visited on Wednesday night our first trip to any restaurant since February. An early teatime slot as we couldn’t get in at any other time . Staff and food were excellent as always. We both had the spare ribs to start and then our favourite Pizza. Obviously very good value because of the current Eat Out scheme but once that has finished we won’t hesitate to return to our favourite Italian. Covid secure precautions were definitely in place. Thank you for a lovely meal Italio.

We have eaten here twice during the Eat Out to Help Out offer period. Good menu choices for starters, mains and desserts. The waitress offered us both the restaurant menu and the bar menu so we had a wider choice. Staff very friendly and service was good although as expected the pub was busy because of the EOTHO offer so a little slow but it was nice to relax having a drink before our meals arrived. Child friendly pub so ideal for parents and grandparents looking for somewhere to eat out locally. We will definitely be eating here again.

Absolutely superb Meal. The fish board was to die for, so fresh with a great assortment ,squid,crab Claws, mussels,large prawns in the shell , smoked salmon. Very Very good and plenty of it. Pasta also superb. Just , good honest fresh homemade food. Excellent value , friendly place , A firm favourite. Beats anything on offer in Lytham on all levels. Highly recommend.

Lovely lunch, helpful staff and if the sun is shining outside area suited to complete a enjoyable visit.

Been to Staining Lodge many times with both friends and family and they never disappoint...food is exceptional and the service is second to none. The restaraunt offers a lovely view over the Staining countryside and golf course and the staff are so friendly and polite. I can definitely recommend the seafood platter and the goats cheese, walnut and apple salad...just 2 of my favourites. Looking forward to my next visit.

We have eaten in this restaurant a number of times and it is consistently good. Food is fabulous and service is friendly. Highly recommended.

We attended at lunch time and was greeted at the door and shown to our table. Drinks order was taken and arrived straight away. I ordered steak burger and my partner had the buttermilk chicken sandwich. The food was delicious compliments to chef Dan. Great service from Pete, will definalty come back again.

Went on the EOTHO deal. Staff were welcoming, although it was obvious throughout the visit that one waitress in particular had some sort of issue with either a customer or a colleague - lots of obviously ‘annoyed’ conversation taking place between her and her colleagues. The restaurant was very busy so it took a long time for the starters to come, but they were nice when they arrived. We both had ribeye, was nice but overcooked - we ordered them medium as recommended on the menu. Glad we tried the Clifton and wish the new owners all the best with their new venture.

Awful Meal & Customer Service Service was very slow an hours wait for our starters, then another hour for mains, when the mains arrived I had ordered a prawn dansak and a prawn Korma arrived, they offered to change it but I had already waited an hour , and my other guests were eatting their mains so I could not wait again x All they did was take off the price of the curry from my bill Not even bothered that i had not even eaten !!!! Not the best customer service Very disappointed They also served my rose wine in a gin glass & just dumped the wine bottle on the table no ice bucket x Not impressed tbh

Took lunch on Sunday 23/8 with two friends. Staff most polite and helpful. Excellent standards of hygiene and all waiters and bar staff wearing face masks. the premises were clean and well sanitized, including the toilets so felt very comfortable in Covid era. the sunday roast chicken was delicious and such excellent value for money. ~We pushed the boat out and had a prawn starter and mango dessert as well. We also polished off a very nice bottle of Chardonnay wine. Our table was in the atrium so we had exquisite views of the rolling Staining countryside and golf course. Very pleasant and peaceful. The new chef is of high standard and would recommend a meal here without hesitation, especially the roast

Attended on a saturday night at 7.30pm. just enough people in to create a good atmosphere. Food was tasty and hot and the service was really good . Only the second time we have been and as it is local we will be going again. Change from the usual restaurants in the area.

Me and my partner went for a meal on Friday, I had never been before but I can't resist a mushroom risotto. This is the first time we have been for a meal since before the pandemic and I was very imprest. We both had risotto, a garlic bread and chips, it was all perfect. I have been craving it since our visit and I have already told him for our date night next month we are going back, probably an earlier booking next time so we have more of an appetite to finish everything. I have already recommended to friends and family. The service was also spectacular, everyone was very polite, patient and caring throughout our stay. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Breakfast meal for 2 in the Atrium was quite good. Full covid precautions in place too. Surroundings and atmosphere are quite good, although all the staff seemed very muted and flat. No spark of welcome or smiles from anyone. A bit depressing really. The meal was nice for both of us but I received a very thin toasted sourdough bread, even though I asked for granary for my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. We will go again but hope things improve a little.
