Captains Table – BlackpoolAfter a lovely weekend away with my friend we stopped on the way home for our evening meal , as it had been some time since my last visit I was excited to see the new refurbishments. The decor 'Beautiful and inspiring, with gentle, calming music and atmosphere, Food disappointingly and embarrassingly terrible....with high expectations reflected in prices I didn't know where to look when my friends 12oz Gammon steak with trimmings arrived ! Pinapple- tinned, Egg-uncooked, Chips-Scrag ends all of different colours which tells you only one thing ! there's none left !! Peas-frozen, portion sized in a butter dish ! Gammon- Fatty and tough.I brought my concerns to the young, student type waitress who simply said 'sorry' who then sent another waitress to tell us that she was replacing the chips with a large portion of skinny fries, as predicted ! they had RUN......out of CHIPS !!!! to our disbelief when the new offering arrived they had simply taken half of the scrag end away and placed a Few !!!! skinny chips on top !!!!!OMG !!!! Thankfully my prawn cocktail was simply just OK , but then again where can this go wrong !!!P.S Dont have the onion rings-oozing grease !Sorry 'Horns Inn' you've a long way to go !!
Horns Inn – GarstangJust tried Bellamy's new shop at the Castle Gardens, Carleton. Delighted to be served the best Haddock I can ever remember having, as close to perfection as possible. 10/10
Bellamy’s Great Eccleston Fish Bar – Great EcclestonRun out of kebab meat again rubbish.
Cyprus TakeAway – Poulton-Le-FyldeThis was recommended by a friend.
Mi Casa Su Casa – BlackpoolThis is the 3rd time this has happened from this takeaway whilst the orders on all occasions are hit and miss, its clear there are some communication issues between the person who takes the order and the persons that cook an deliver the order. As what we ordered was missing items on occasions or totally the wrong order, when you point this out when you ring back you get a very cold response verging on the side of obnoxiousness. Word of warning check your order before the delivery driver leaves.
The Raj – FreckletonThe food was amazing highly recommended!!!
Tak Ming Canton Kitchen – St. Annes-On-SeaWent for dinner recently at La Piazza II in Bispham. It’s an Italian restaurant with a Spanish theme -- framed photos of Cuba adorning the walls, salsa on the sound system and Rioja on the wine list. But the menu seems to be 100 Italian so go figure. The food was pleasant enough and the atmosphere quite lively albeit in a retro kind of way with noisy waiters shouting across the room and having a real laugh with the punters. Every Italian restaurant was like this 20 years ago but they are getting increasingly thin on the ground. Go there while you can!
La Piazza 2 – BisphamBeen coming here everyday for the last few years everytime we come to Blackpool for a holiday. It is the best fish and chip place in Blackpool. Excellent fresh fish and chips. My daughter always has the sausage and chips and just loves it. Very clean and very friendly staff. Made friends with them as we have been so often. Would highly recommend. Wish our chippy at home was as good. Looking forward to our next visit.
Captains Table – BlackpoolWe dined here today Sunday 27th april 2014, the cafe soon got full the service was fast. Food excellent value for the price. Good to have hot food served by nice pleasant friendly staff. We passed the cafe an hour later to see people queuing to get in. We would recommend you to go. We wil certainly return again. Well done to the hard working staff.
The Cafe Royal – FleetwoodFanatstic and fresh food, definitely would go again.
Mamas Kitchen – BlackpoolMade our second visit to Red Rose last night. Excellent , friendly & professional service coupled with the best curries for miles. Guarantee we'll be regulars. The food tastes fresh, the portions are generous & if you want a variation from the menu they're happy to oblige. This is seriously good food & we are very happy to recommend it.
Red Rose Indian Restaurant – KirkhamHaving placed a review on Trip Advisor previous regarding The Station Tavern in Lytham I feel compelled to post an update!!! Easter Bank Holiday Friday on a very very sunny day and Lytham was a wash with day trippers and locals being visited by family & friends a like. I decided that following a dog walk our choice would be the Tavern and I have to say the plac...e is growing and growing into a wonderful venue with very very good food ~ great wines and ales and above all I have to again comment on the professional staff ~ their attention to detail and customer service. With a packed restaurant inside and others with bar food it was the outside that truly captured the day ~ a wide diverse group from the RNLI to dog walkers to families & friends ~ what appears to be taking place is and I can only relate this to restaurants ~ bars and bistro's in Brighton ~ full of vibe ~ freshness ~ catering for everyone ~ outside seating with an amazing vibe of people enjoying the Easter Bank Holiday ~ The Station is winning!! Lytham caters for many menus, appetites and budget and The Station Tavern is becoming the top if the tree for all the reasons above. Listening to a group of four middle aged couples sat next to us outside who had travelled from Bury to see family ~ they stated how 'simply impressed' they were and how they wished The Station Tavern was in Bury
Station Pub and Grill – LythamHave visited the Mogul every Easter for the past 20 years or so when at the Blackpool Hockey Festival. Need I say anymore?
Moghul Tandoori Restaurant – St. Annes-On-SeaBurger and chips was spot on. The place looks great now after its refurbishment. It is a big place and hard to fill but they regularly do especially on band nights. Nice quiet outside area too. When I ordered my drink I asked if my dog was OK to be on the premises. The Landlord said yes and when he served my pint of Murphy's, he also gave me a side plate full of dog biscuits, which I thought was a very nice touch. We be returning to the Station Tavern soon.
Station Pub and Grill – LythamI was looking forward to trying seniors. It was a disaster from walking through the door. A girl named Harriot in the takeaway section served everybody else but ignored us whilst in the queue, but a lad joey realised and served us whilst girl didn't even apologise or even acknowledge us. Very small portion size for how much it cost @ £6 for a meal deal. Cod was literally size of sprat and batter was flavourless and thin but fish itself was ok. I've had better chips in most other chippys, thank god I had gravy. I will never go back again. How it won any award for service or quality of food I don't know.
Seniors – Thornton-CleveleysThe guy on the phone was very helpful with my order. The pizza was good, just a bit too much cheese on it.
Lytham Pizza Company – LythamWe really like the Lowther Cafe. A refreshing change to some of the pretentious establishments that abound these days. Simple and unfussy food, cooked well and service with a smile. Harks back to a different era when the British seaside was the place to be. Even the staff calling out your meal ticket has the charm of an old bingo hall. It's great value too!
