This was a real find while staying in the Forest of Dean. I ate there two nights in succession with different people and the feedback was unanimously good. The food was beautiful with highlights being a beef suet pudding and the fish and chips. A five chocolate taster dessert also went down a storm. Service was excellent but unobtrusive. Everyone was really friendly. Prices are in line with pub meals so given the quality it makes an excellent package. Keep up the good work.

As always Fabulous food,you can tell all the produce is of good quality..The staff are so friendly and while they are all young they're so professional.We can't wait to return.We have just returned from a holiday in Tuscany so this meal continued our Tuscan Experience..

Lovely warm atmosphere for a chilly day in an English summer! Food was so evocative of Italy and also the welcome from Davide and the team. Thanks for another delicious pranzo!

Thank you for such a lovely dinner. We do not normally have 3 courses but the desserts were simply irresistible. We are back in the area in 6 weeks and will be back for more.

Delightful meal. However, with no prices listed online, we nearly didn't book, as all the information and reviews implied it would be a costly gastropub. The food was good pub food at a reasonable price - especially if you took advantage of the daily offers. Also, decide whether you are called The Miners or Wye Valley Catering - it's very confusing if you're a visitor, as we were.

Has breakfast here the food is great very tasty and good quality, the staff are very professional and courteous and nothing is too much trouble for those picky orders Will be going again because there is no point as great meals/ service

Thankyou for an excellent Sunday lunch. My husband said it was the best he had ever had! There was something for everyone and all good, for a 3 generation family group that included 3 grandchildren ranging in age from 6 to 19. The butchers board provided an eating experience for all and it made it easy to try bits of each others order, and, I suspect, avoided waste.

Had a nice meal here Sunday evening but the experience could have been better. The menu isn't extensive, so we both chose fish dishes from the specials board. The food was really nice and served professionally and promptly. The only downside was the service after the meal and wine was served. We'd finished our meal and it was a good 30 mins later when my appetite for a desert had diminished, that we called it an evening and settled the bill. The restaurant wasn't busy, with just 10 covers in use including ourselves, so I'd expect the table to be cleared & to be asked if we would like a desert menu etc. The food and ambience was worthy of the bill but unfortunately the service wasn't.

This has got to be the best Sunday lunch I have ever had. We were a group of 8 and we all agreed. Succulent joints of beef and pork served with a knife to carve yourself. Perfectly cooked veg and friendly service. We will be back!

Excellent meal, although the portion size of the beef for 3 was on the small size. Whilst my chicken was more than enough for one so shared it amongst the table. Will definitely return. Lovely staff.

Once again an exceptional Sunday Lunch. Food and Service was excellent as usual Just looking forward to the next visit.

We were a group of 5 ladies. Booking for breakfast on line was easy. Service and food were excellent, no negatives. The setting and atmosphere were also spot on. We will be back to try lunchtime menu. Highly recommend for a relaxing time with friends.

Our first visit and we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. Warm welcome, excellent service and the food was exceptional. Great advice over wine choices for our menu options. We will be back.

Our 'go to' place in Tewkesbury these days. My wife and I have lunched/dined here on a number of occasions the last of which was my birthday on Saturday just gone and was with a couple of friends. Each time we have been; we have never been let down in terms of the food/ drink and service experience. We are so pleased to have come across this fantastic yet unassuming place.

The standard has in the past been high and we were not disappointed this time. Lovely staff , excellent service and superb food. We had a lovely evening. Thank you.
