A group of ex SHS pupils who left school in 1972 have met up three times over the last 18 months at Beacon Bar and Cafe. Yesterday 15 of us met up and enjoyed a variety of well prepared lunches from the menu having pre-ordered and paid 2 weeks ago. The venue is excellent for a sociable event, food and service could not be faulted and our lunches arrived precisely at the agreed time. We look forward to returning next year!
Beacon Bar and Kitchen – StroudVery nice Sunday roast in an interesting historic pub. Generous portion sizes: a large plate full! The veg were nice and plentiful: sprouts, carrots, roast potatoes and parsnips and a ramekin of yummy cauliflower cheese. All accompanied by a jug of gravy each. Helpful staff. The only criticism is that we found the pub a little chilly in temperature – perhaps as it was a day when the weather started to get colder. Would definitely have Sunday lunch there again.
