I read the reviews and we were not disappointed lovely atmosphere great service excellent food Easily the best restaurant we ate in while staying in Grasmere If we come back to Grasmere I will definitely visit again

We spent two pleasant evenings at Lewis's Bistro. Service was attentive and efficient and the staff were friendly. The French onion soup was the best I've ever tasted and the belly pork was perfectly cooked. The slight downside was the choice of drinks. We had an excellent cider with our pork on the first night but they had run out on the next night. The wine we chose instead was OK but did nothing to enhance our meal.

We loved everything about our visit at Lewis's Bistro. Food & service was top standard. Thanks for a great evening. We will be back next time we're in The Lakes.

This was our second visit to the restaurant. On both occasions the food was excellent and the service very friendly and efficient. There was a good atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome.

Lovely evening meal with the family - 4 adults & 2 children at Lewis bistro. Friendly, family rub feel with excellent food. Nothing was too much trouble in terms of service.

We had a great meal on our first visit to Lewis’s Bistro, and it definitely won’t be our last. The lady who was in charge was really friendly and accommodated us even though we had not booked till the day of our visit. We both had steak which was cooked to perfection. Great addition to Grasmere.

One of the loveliest meals I have had I. A long time

We received a lovely welcome. Shared the salt& pepper king prawns and the olives with rustic bread to start. Both gorgeous. Mains, I had the steak which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the cod which he said was delicious. We will return.

Welcoming and friendly atmosphere with an interesting menu. We had the steak and belly pork both of which were superbly cooked and the ice cream finished off the meal decadently.

Brilliant meal at Lewis’s last night ! Staff were so welcoming and friendly! Lovely little place with great atmosphere and the food was delicious! Couldn’t fault it at all and we will return later in the summer, see you then and thanks

What a buzzing little place. The food was great - I can especially praise the slow cooked pork belly which was so soft and unctious. The service was fab too. A definite place to come back to.

Our food was well presented and very tasty. We dined early ( our preference ) and didn't feel rushed. It was busy as we were leaving , but still maintained a relaxed atmosphere. Both ladies at front of house friendly and attentive. We had 3 courses ,bottle of wine and coffee for 2 people at a reasonable price for the location and service.

Nice atmosphere, wasn’t aware was dog friendly. Staff were friendly, took a while to be able to pay the bill when we were ready to Leave but they were busy. Food was nice and fairly priced. Good choice of menu

We visited here last night and the whole experience was absolutely amazing, we were staying in langdale and booked here having liking the look of the menu, and the food did not disappoint! Can not fault it, the service was ten out of ten all the staff were super friendly and the service was quick, we would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting quality food and a nice quiet friendly atmosphere.

Best rack of lamb my husband had ever had and my steak was really tasty. Waitress was very helpful. Only criticism is that is was so cold inside, especially if you are sat in line with door to toilets, that both myself and the two ladies either side of me had to wear our coats whilst eating.

We prebooked and had the table from 6.15 till 8pm which was plenty enough time. The food was absolutely amazing. We had garlic mushrooms & cheesy garlic bread for starters. For mains the fillet steak and rack of lamb, all of which were cooked to perfection. Portion sizes were fab and the staff were very friendly and attentative in a relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended and we will 100% be back again!

Enjoyed a wonderful relaxing evening at Lewis’s Bistro. We found the service to be excellent ,friendly helpful and even spent a moment or two at the table having a general conversation. Food served in good time and all our dishes were fresh, well Cooked and tasted delicious. Menus available to view before booking as well

Booked in on a very busy Saturday evening, but the food didn't take long to come and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely beautiful and we will definitely return.
