This was our second visit - we visited just before Christmas and had the most amazing meal and time but unfortunately this time wasn’t so good. The food was lovely but the service wasn’t great for the second half of our meal, we we’re seated and had a drink order taken, starters arrived quickly but we had to flag down someone as we had no cutlery which was quickly remedied, mains order was taken and then our waitress changed to another one and then it went down hill, we asked to order another drink and she disappeared, asked again after 20 minutes of waiting and had the order taken - we then asked for a dessert menu after finishing our mains and after waiting 25 minutes (for the menu!) we gave up and went and paid at the bar, we were sat in the corner and felt like we’d been forgotten about. I’m hoping it was just a one off because we really like it here and would return in the future.

Came 2 weeks ago for the first time and enjoyed it so much that we came again. Good food, good service, great atmosphere

We booked a table for 4 for a birthday, we were welcomed and shown our table. We ordered our drinks and appetisers which were with us really quick, As steak lovers we ordered the 16oz rump and the 10oz sirloin and the 1kg of baby back ribs and brisket all came with really tasty fries, onion rings coleslaw all cooked exactly as we requested all the servings were huge we struggled to finish. The UK seems to be providing boxes to take any food you don’t want to waste as the US does. We had a great evening really good food and drinks we will definitely return to try the burgers which look really tasty highly recommended place to eat.

Great waitress service happy and cheerful persona ….would definitely come again so much food …well prepared One suggestion the wings should come not coated in sauce but separate so you can dip as they are very messy without a finger bowl which I suggested to our cheery waitress

on the 5th of febuary my family and i went to the smoke house at ormesby for my birthday the meal was lovely apart from the desert my ice cream weth chocolate topping was very late coming to the table then my daughters dessert had a hair in it haveing waited 10 minutes fot it then she had to wait 5more minutes for a spoon it seem like the kitchen staff did not care this spoilt my whole evening.

Food is really good,portion are massive, the staff very helpful and the service are fairly quick, really good vibe. Prices are a bit steep but it's worth it. I will definitely come back.

Have eaten here on many occasions and find the service can be a little up and down but in the main they try their best, likewise the food I think like most places it depends who is doing the cooking. We were there two days ago with friends and three of the meals were excellent and one was practically incinerated, the staff were excellent that evening and the bill was reduced a little because of our comments. I think sometimes they overbook and then are unable to give a good standard because staff are overrun.

We came for a February midweek 2-4-1 burger deal and it was absolutely fantastic. Halfway through both my stepdaughter and I were feeling pretty full. They were cooked to perfection with generous portions and had a creamy coleslaw with them. Service was great and we really enjoyed the experience.

First time visit with a couple of regular users and pleasantly surprised with the decor and cleanliness. Great midweek offer with 241 on burger meals. I ordered the Black Slabbath rib, it was huge and delicious so brought half of it home for next day meal. Kimmy was our server, really friendly and helpful.

The food was nice and good portions. The service however, was very slow. We waited a long time to have our drinks order taken and the wait for the main meal was an hour. I understand staffing can be stretched, but we were not informed of a wait time, nor did anyone acknowledge the long wait or apologise.

Third visit and once again great food and service. Brisket melts in your mouth and portion sizes are generous, perhaps a bit too generous, not complaining. The service was efficient and friendly with just the right amount of attention. 5 Stars.
