We enjoyed our dinner so much on Thursday that we went back again on Friday. The food, service and atmosphere were fantastic. Our only complaint is that we live 2 hours away in Hertfordshire, so have to wait until the chalets re-open until we are back in Ormesby. Looking forward to the summer Full Throttle Thursdays. Keep up the great work!

I dined here twice on a recent holiday and each time both the food and the service were spectacular. The decor is fun and as it got dark the twinkling lights outside were so lovely. We are a family of 4 and whilst I expected a decent portion for the price, I didn’t expect enough food on my plate to feed an entire family. I would have happily paid 3/4 of the price for 1/2 the food! Either way, I’m so glad we ate there. A million times better than the generic pub food offered by so many places. The meat was delicious (I had a selection of wings, ribs, brisket and pulled pork) and the chips and accompaniments were actually really good too! One of my children had a milkshake which I happily helped them finish. And the cocktails were lovely too. The service was so nice and it felt like the staff were all so chatty and genuine. I’d definitely recommend the place to anyone who enjoys their meat!

The food was excellent as always. The girl who served us was great. Younger lad that served the meals could do with training on how to smile they seemed very nervous. Bored of the deserts now, needs a change. Left waiting to pay for too long after receiving the bill.

First time here on Saturday with the family two kids and a wife! First of all the wait time , there really wasnt any food was out within ten minutes . The waitresses where spot on making sure we had drinks all the time very good with the kids and very pleasant

We went to this place for the second time this weekend. Food is incredible . Staff very accommodating!! We arranged with the staff a surprise proposal for our friends . The staff played the requested song once given the nod. They all gathered around and celebrated with us all. Even gave us a bottle of champagne to celebrate with. We can't wait to come back. Well worth the 3 hour drive!! Thank you guys!! Xxxxxxxx

I have recently moved to the area and over the 6 months I have lived here I have taken many visitors for a meal here and in the main found the food very good and the staff try their best in difficult times, I believe a little extra training would not go amiss. However I booked a meal last Saturday for five people and told my guests how good the Smoke house is, but unfortunately the food was not up to its usual standard due to I believe overbooking to the number of staff on duty, we waited for drinks service and side orders were delayed too. I will be back soon and I hope my last experience was a blip.

Have had many nice meals at the Steakhouse however this time it was not the best. The Burgers were undercooked. The staff were all lovely and when you get a good meal it is good value for money. Would go back but make sure I ask for my burger to be cooked more.

Excellent service , nothing too much trouble , excellent food , excellent value for money , lovely evening we had and we didn’t have to wait long

Fantastic service and food as always

Food was ok.We had a table of 9 and they forgot one of our meals.They did apologies but it’s never nice for someone to have to wait 10 mins longer for their meal when everyone else was half way through theirs.

We were on holiday and decided to stop in and give you a try. It was good. The service was good the food was good. My wife is American and it can be a bit tricky to please her 100% especially when a restaurant tries to imitate an American restaurant. She loved the ribs , very tasty! She had salad instead of fries and she said it was just half a head of lettice with some pickles, tomatoes and cucumber. Which it was. And a huge pile of slaw. The strawberry daiquiri didn't live up to it's price. Too small. They do everything big in America! Even the daiquiri"s! We had a great night. The food was very tasty. Thank you.

Excellent food, steaks cooked as ordered and burgers to make your eyes pop! The service we very efficient and overall experience was very enjoyable. We would definitely return

Excellent food and huge portions. Was told be our lovely waitress that the food would be at least 30 mins as it was all cooked fresh but arrived after only 15 mins. Wish it was closer to London

The food was amazing (and plenty of it). Service was exceptional and the atmosphere was buzzing. An exceptional experience for a first time visit. Will definitely be back to sample some more of the menu.

Pros Food was quick Lots of it Cocktails are nice Cons Food was awful Tasted like old oil Burger was horrendous Partner had mixed grill left most of it as was all gristle and fat and the pink in the middle of the meats which aren’t meant to be pink. The food went back and was not once asked during meal of food was ok. Also asked for it to be taken off the bill and nothing was touched on my burger and they refused as ‘just cause I haven’t eaten any of it they still cooked it!’. Never ever go back & I will be telling the whole campsite how awful it was also.
