The Thatchers Bar and Lounge – PortsmouthI visited for my birthday with my partner a surprise, a night with entertainment, brilliant food, brilliant atmosphere, a must place to visit
Grand Cafe – SouthamptonSo so beautiful a place, staff make you feel very warm and welcome ( makes the choice for us if there's not a smile or welcome at the restaurants entrance, or enquiry) and the menu was a very wide range of meals and sides.. Desserts and starters too looked great but I am a mains person. Our meal was more than adequate for the price. Will def be back. Alot x
Fighting Cocks – FordingbridgeVery disappointed that not able to book a table due to health resons. Not able to sit outside and this was the only option given apart from we could take a chance to get a table on a bank holiday Monday. Did explain this on the phone but was told the same as above. We have used the Sailmaker on a couple of occations and loved it so we were so disappointed with the response we got .
Sailmaker – GosportFantastic service, scallops and parfait very good. Main course good too. Wine very well chilled. Pudding amazing with a subtle but tasty lemon Creme Brûlée. Very good value for money. Will definitely be returning.

Whistlers Fine Fish & Chips (Hayling Island) – Hayling IslandVery good food and friendly service.
Toby Carvery – PortsmouthI cannot express how good this food is. I very rarely write reviews, but I feel these guys deserve the credit and for those of you who have never tried the Thai food at the Wheel Inn or indeed Thai food generally, please give these guys a go. You can eat in or take away, I do both. I visited Thailand in 93 and 94, but since then I have never found authentic tasting Thai food anywhere in the UK. Until now that is. Total quality of food, service and very very reasonably priced. I usually arrive a little early for my take away and have a quick pint, usually one of the guest ales, which are very pleasant indeed. Great pub, great food. There, I've done it. Review left. Enjoy....
Krua Thai 88 – LymingtonWe have just had the most incredible Thai meal at Krua Thai based at The Wheel Inn. Authentic Thai food and great service. An 11 piece gorgeous meal for 2 for under £15.00 a head. What we couldn't eat ( because the dishes just kept coming ) was plated up for us to take home. This gem was until today undiscovered by myself; not anymore. I highly recommend you get yourself there.
Krua Thai 88 – LymingtonThe best indian food i have ever tasted, and i have tried a few, trust me , if you like good food, try these people, nice restaurant and delivery......try, u wont regret it.
Cinnamon Indian Restaurant – WaterloovilleWithout a doubt, the best Indian restaurant on the Island.
Monsoon Fine Indian Dining – Isle of WightDo not go here to eat in the evening - dreadful food and worse service. Room was even colder than the food, and we didn't order salad. One hour to serve 6 people, and we were the only people in the restaurant. Food when it finally arrived was of such poor quality a ten year old could have cooked it, even the cheap ( cash and carry?) microwaved stuff. Really awful
The Travellers Rest – FarehamTh pub was very very cold, kept on asking for the heating to be put on. Food came out hot but got cold quickly as the pub was cold. Atmosphere not nice as the pub was cold. I was with family, we spent a fair bit, but the pub was not very welcoming .Would not go back
Magic Roundabout – AndoverGood time, go again!
The Old Stag Inn – Isle of WightOn entering restaurant found it to be very clean, pleasant and very well laid tables. The food was of high quality. You could taste the flavours and the presentation of the dishes was excellent. Ihad a glass of red wine with my meal, which wasn't expesive and a good quality. The toilets were very clean and presentable. Overall the meal and exemplarary service was a delight. Highly recommended.
Akash Restaurant – SouthseaWe went there last week and had a fabulous meal. we are going again tonight with very special friends. Highly recommended
Indigo – RingwoodBeware when ordering, the breakdown in communication makes them automatically think it is their right to order extra items and charge you for it. It was only a couple of pounds extra but this is not the point. When confronted with this they said that they were not wrong and I had ordered more than I thought I did. Food was not the best I'd had in the area also!! Some of the worst customer service I've come across. Never using again!!
Spice Box Indian Takeaway – WaterloovilleAfter our visit to your restaurant yesterday.21.9.12 we made up mind never to visit you again. The food was simply disgusting and although we have been to you many times and sometimes had bad meals we thought maybe it was a one off. We can get a meal at your price far better at the Harvester Portsmouth, you could learn a lot from them both in customer relations plus meals.
