Neptune Cafe – Hastingsgreat course loved it xx
Artisan Chocolate Workshop – HastingsThis has to be the best Chinese restaurant and take-away in the whole of Sussex, let alone Hastings. The food is excellent and freshly cooked to order. The staff are friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The whole atmosphere makes for a very happy experience and a relaxed good night out. Very good value and not expensive. I cannot fault the August Moon. Just brilliant.
August Moon – HastingsBeware this restaurant. Food served on cold plates,no ice/Lemon for drinks, lacklustre waiters, side order didn't arrive.Overcharged for drinks.£11 service charge added to bill without our consent. No manager available to speak to.2 emails remain unanswered. If you use this restaurant check your bill very carefully.
Jali – HastingsNothing compares, superb food, beautifully presented, we feel very lucky to have such a quality restaurant on our doorstep.
The Wild Mushroom Restaurant – HastingsOutstanding value and quality! Bring your own booze, no corkage fees. This is Persian food at its best. Starters 2.50, main courses (huge) 7 to 8.50. Hurry!!!
The Royal Spice – HastingsGreat place! The food, service and atmosphere is spot on. The bar staff are lovely and my daughter particularly liked one of the young strapping, model looking like, barman. I told her I looked like that when I was younger but she laughed. 100% would I recommend anyone to go there and check it out!!
The Black Market – HastingsHad a great meal at the black market last week. I was with a group of friends and we all had great food, a rare thing as we are all fussy.
The Black Market – HastingsThe best place to eat in the town, food great, service great, what more can I say
August Moon – HastingsFantastic food, freshly cooked in front of you in their tiny kitchen. Big on local produce and quality ingredients!
Dragon Bars – HastingsThe food was very good, and the service polite.I would recommend this place to anyone...try it..x
Cafe Club – HastingsWe love this place!! great food, great value for money and great service!!
August Moon – HastingsGood atmosphere in smallish intimate, bistro style restaurant. Interesting range of meals and wines.
Lathams Brasserie – HastingsWe waited half an hour for our food, despite people entering after us not only being served but having nearly finished their meal. When I asked the eastern European waitress how long we would have to wait, she simply shrugged her shoulders. We then left without paying (we had had our drinks in this time), and then the manager of the restaurant followed us down the street, blocked himself in front of my baby's buggy, and threatened to 'lay me out'. I immediately contacted the police who dealt with the matter and it was clear that the proprietor was known to them, as they advised us against letting him have our contact details. This grubby little man was rude and aggressive, and all this to a family with two young children who were simply dissatisfied with the appalling service. There are many restaurants along the promenade so please do avoid this one like the plague, and utterly shocking place with a sad and aggressive little owner who failed miserably to get one over on us.
Rainbow Restaurant – HastingsAbsolutely awful. A highly pretentious place with 'modern' stark decor which looks cheap and uninviting. Our fish n chips meal was quoted as 'fine dining' and all it seemed to be was a glorified greasy fish finger. Staff were rude & snobby. I guess this kind of place will attract the high street brand symbol wearing fraternity who love to rub shoulders with their kin... avoid totally!!!
The Black Market – HastingsAmazing food, what a fantastic night, we will be going back again and again, very good value for money considering the quality and service!
The Wild Mushroom Restaurant – HastingsAfter having high hopes after reading their web site, we were very disappointed. The service was slow and the restaurant tatty with cheap (and stained) tables and chairs. Food was ok but nothing special. St Clements and The Fish Cafe are far better with the same prices but much better service and ambiance.
Pomegranate – HastingsAbsolutely the best place in town serves fantastic meals at low prices.Had my husbands 30th birthday here and used the party menu of £11 per head-there was far too much food which a few asked to be put in containers to take home.Lovely staff and atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble -cant rate the place enough !
