Incredible new venue, what the Old Town needs - fantastic atmosphere and food.

Great restaurant in Old Town Hastings surrounded by funky shops, restaurant is very intimate and friendly and they serve fantastic fish, all freshly cooked. I would definitely go back as the atmosphere was fun and the staff were very friendly but best thing about Latham’s was the price, extremely reasonable with a great set lunch. I am going back again and will have my birthday party there.

A superb dining experience, quality all round, exquisite food, discreetly attentive service and sea views; we're hooked on the dum briyani and those poppadom sauces! Highly recommended.

I've been to Black Pearl three times now, and I must say that the food and service have both improved greatly since the opening! On our last visit, we ordered the seafood platter for 3 and although a little pricey, when the meal arrived on the 3-tier trays, it looked great, was delicious and quantity was enormous (much more than for 3 "normal" people)! The staff are very friendly and the music level is just right, so you can enjoy a pleasant conversation too! We will definitely go back.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 2 dinners. Their fish is excellent and they present a lovely array of fresh vegetables. The service is excellent and the servers are helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended

If you ever find yourself in Hastings and fancy going somewhere to eat that doesn’t wrap the food in newspaper, this is the place (or is that plaice)? Only recently open, the Black Pearl lives up to its evocative name by serving an exotic variety of fish and meat dishes of the highest quality, cooked with passion and precision. Any criticism seems sour in the face of the competition.

had a great night on Thursday the live jazz was amazing

the food was absolutely amazing - very tasty - we had takeaway - set meal x2 and a couple of side dishes - all for less than £34 - it fed 2 of us for the equivalent of 4 meals each - fantastic value - highly recommended.

Had a great meal the place is the best venue in the area. amazing night out!!!
