Fab, good quality food, with a twist of fine dining. very well priced, by far the best country pub in the area.

not just pub food.everything is locally sourced and freshly made,from the ice cream to the ravioli with a hint french haute cuisine and regional British.SUPERB

Very nice meals. You may have to wait during busy periods (notices to this effect displayed). Eat in the bar, in the restaurant, or outside (where your pet dog can stay with you). Good value for money.

Just ate in Thai on Wye and thoroughly enjoyed the food there.very Authentic Thai food not watered down for western pallets. very helpful and friendly staff. Can definitely recommend.Looking forward to eating there again soon.

If only they would play Indian music this would be the ideal venue. Interesting food at a reasonable price which is further enhanced by taking your own wine.Good fish dishes.Friendly people.

Beautiful Sunday lunch, plenty of fresh vegetables, locally sourced meat and tasty gravy. Would highly recommend.

i cant think of anything good to say about this pub. the ales are undrinkable as with the food. the landlord is so rude i cant think why he is still in business. go next door to the dog, fantastic.

Fantastic location, hidden away off the high street but a shame if you miss it. :Lovely patio, if only it had been the summer and i could enjoy it. Great selection of food and drink. Friendly staff, will be back when next visiting!

never had a bad meal here-the mrs swears blind its the best place to eat in town. the pork ribs i had were huge!only supposed to be a small meal nice scenery,nice -friendly staff

How do you write a recommendation, after complaining about the freshness of the banoffee pie and being told not to come back in an aggressive manner. This is then deemed as 'professional' after they refused to respond to e-mails. Customer service is extremely lacking (I do have 17 years experience in hospitality)

It takes some classy restaurant to make my wife eat anything like Asian cuisine as she does not like curries etc. However, after dining (for my sake) at the Roadmaker Inn, Gorsley she admits that it was one of the tastiest meals she had eaten for a long time. On my part I must agree that the food was excellent but the service and the friendly happy staff also made it a meal to remember. We were sat a short distance away from the open kitchen area and could see how much the cooks and staff were enjoying not only cooking and serving but each others company. Seeing the staff enjoying themselves was a delight and indicative of how good this restaurant is. If you are going be prepared to book early. We dined at 8pm and I booked a table for 2 at 4pm, just getting in. No minuses on the restaurant but a tad short of parking places as it is also a popular pub with not that many parking spaces.

This is not a recommendation far from it would not go near this place. I was with seven friends last weekend and we where abused by the owner a fat man with braces holding up a large pair of jeans. The open sign was showing on door we asked if we could have tea and cakes to which we had a really bad mannered reply that has prompted this message. Please go somewhere else in this lovely village.

Excellent friendly, helpful staff. Food is great with good choice. Haven't tried the carvery. Recommend highly.
