The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordReally enjoyable evening. Food excellent. The Durban curry reminded me of my mothers( we came from Durban 63 years ago) . Starters were delicious and main courses plentiful and beautifully cooked. Will definitely come again.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordHad a large group booking to celebrate our upcoming wedding. Food was delicious and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive :)
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordWe had a lovely Sunday lunch at The King Stag recently. We were made to feel super welcome including our young puppy. The staff were great and could not have been more helpful. We sat in the nicely appointed garden as the weather was fab. We have been to The King Stag a few times before and it has always been consistently excellent. We will definitely be back.
The King Stag – BusheyExcellent Sunday lunch. Starters were great, main course awesome, the best done to perfection. Service was fantastic on a hot stuff day, credit to the staff. Would 100% recommend to all.
The King Stag – BusheyFirst visit here and was very impressed with the service, food and refreshment. The guest ales were very good, I enjoyed the King Stag ale, superb. Lovely outside seating area too. Food arrived promptly, hot and tasty. Staff were great, attentive, polite and friendly. If there’s any criticism; table was wobbly, acoustically quite a noisy place where we were sat.
The King Stag – BusheyA lovely evening - great service - food lovely too. Only gripe was the calamari was a bit chewy - the batter around it delicious tho’. Their South African burger is amazing. The sea bass fillets are also great - as was the Buffalo chicken burger. Highly recommended.
The Prince George – WatfordWhen we got to the venue we were waiting at the bar so we could check in, the barista greated us in a quite abrupt manner and when e told her we had a table booked she asked one of the young guys and then just told us our table was number 6 and we were left to find the table ourselves. We sat ourselves down at our table which was next to a very loud group of 10 people. We were going to ask the easier if we could change tables in a quieter area however, there was another group that came in after us, they sat down after us and the waist started taking their order first and ignored us, so we walked out. The fact that you're sending this email to me today to find out how our meal was said that you didn't even notice we were gone. Chittlehampton tell you how the food was d we never got to have any. We really want to support local businesses but we also like good service. We went to our usual white lion where we always get great service, great environment and great food. We will not visit you again.
The Prince George – WatfordHad the Sunday roast and the ingredients were very fresh and well cooked. Could have done with some more greens though. Gravy was nice but it covered alot of the plate & dominated. I suggest a gravy boat is served to let the eater decide their own quantity. Service was efficient but slightly annoying sat a table right next to the coffee machine and cupboard which had staff members standing very close during our meal. Service charge at 12.5% is too much for a pub restaurant and £8.70 for a very average white wine was eyewateringly overpriced. We would come again though.
The Horse and Chains – BusheyI can always rely on The King Stag to provide a cosy, casual yet effortlessly sophisti-cool backdrop for catching up with a friend over dinner. We hold family lunches occasionally there too. Equally fun. My go-to is the double stack cheeseburger (with sweet fries). Mmmm. And they love dogs! We take our pooch there and she is totally happy and chilled. My fave local pub.
The King Stag – BusheyWe took advantage of the Tuesday Burger night deal-the chicken breast burgers were absolutely delicious and the beer/ wine a lovely addition.Great service.Thank you.
The King Stag – BusheyIt was our first time visiting The Royal Oak as we are new to the area and we both really enjoyed it. We ordered the Sunday roast and it was delicious. The service was fantastic too. Really lovely pub we will definitely be back again.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordThe BEST Sunday dinner I’ve ever had in 17 years in the UK (second only to my mothers)… we’ll be back again soon
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordBrilliant meal with the kids…. Epic wings, great burgers, cold beers!
The King Stag – BusheyExcellent food and The Royal Oak is my favourite pub in Watford. Have eaten there many times.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordWe booked for sunday lunch at this lovely pub. The meal was excellent as well as the customer service. A good selections of gins on the drinks list. The food was extremely of a good quality and I would recommend the sea bream. We will be returning back for our sunday lunch.
The King Stag – BusheyWarm welcome and fab food. A hidden gem.
