Lovely Sunday Lunch with my daughter. We had the squid to start which was lovely. She had the pork as a main and I had the beef, both were excellent. Although we would both have liked a dessert, unfortunately we were too full. Well worth the money and the service was great. I also got to teach her how to use a record player (look in the snug) Very enjoyable, would highly recommend.

Had a beautiful meal here recently. Wonderful quality of food and generous portions, a lovely and attentive service from the staff in very warm and welcoming surroundings. Would highly recommend, particularly their Sunday roasts, great value for money.

Just me and the wife and our fur baby. Such a warm and tentative welcome, nothing is too much trouble. Food excellent, as usual.

Lovely lovely food! Whole table was blown away at the quality. Front of house come meet your customers say hello. Come see if there is anything we need or is everything ok. Little details that separate you from the rest. Not ate pub food as nice as yours in a long time. My girlfriend is already telling the world about it. THE MENU! riddled with mistakes! Starters Calamari (GF) had my suspicions turns out it’s not Gluten free! Compulsory tip according to the menu it’s 10% when settling the bill I was told it’s actually 12%! It’s not the difference in amount that’s the issue. If it’s an old menu then sort these problems out! I nearly said well the menu sais 10% therefore that’s what I am paying would have been within my rights. As I said can’t fault the food at all. But iron out the silly mistakes. Sam

What a fun night! We booked a table for 6 family members on Saturday night in the dining area of the pub and were warmly welcomed when we arrived. All service was prompt and friendly and the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere was great too - the pub was busy but there was a nice buzz and we were never hurried or kept waiting. Can't wait to go back again soon!

Great food in a wonderful setting. the food is very tasty, good portion sizes and the menu is innovative and draws on their strengths. You dont feel rushed and the staff have a smile on their faces. You can't ask for more.

My friend and I had Sunday lunch at The Royal Oak and it was fabulous. Lovely friendly welcome, staff were great and the food was delicious. Highly highly recommended and will be back again soon!

Great food . Amazing Sunday roast. Service was ok. Seating area was cramped. Drinks were pricey especially the cocktails considering their wasn’t much of a choice.
