Great food, nice pub we will visit again

The King Stag is the best pub in Bushey. Always a good atmosphere and the Burgers are excellent

Proper pub, typical modern pub fare and decent choice of beers on tap. Came for a very late Sunday roast. Beef sirloin was ok, I’m sure it was better earlier in the day. Wings were fantastic. Bar and waiting staff were friendly and appropriately attentive.

A birthday lunch was made very enjoyable by lovely food and great service by everyone involved. Would highly recommend for any celebration

Absolutely great roast. The family had the beef and the lamb, and both were superb cooked and were so tender. Service was great, we took 4 children and they were all welcomed. Highly recommended.

Very nice food and good atmosphere

Staff are wonderful, venue is very stylish, clientele is younger and louder (much) than it used to be. Menu needs an overhaul - very little choice and hasn't changed for years. Understand the need to shop smart and keep the menu small but change it more often( much more often).

It’s my favourite pub, what can I say? I always feel welcomed, the food is great, the service always friendly, the prices are reasonable, it’s a fantastic venue for a party, they make their own biltong and it’s amazing. What’s not to love?

Excellent Sunday Dinner, amazing service very well looked after. Lovely surroundings with nice music playing. So lovely to see so many dogs welcome and will definitely bring mine next time!!!

The Sunday roast was really good and so was the service. Definitely be going back soon!

Best and most reliably good roast in the area. Beautifully cooked, lots of meat and sides. The gravy is gorgeous and rich. The staff are really helpful and work hard to get orders/requests right. Great now do a kids Mac and cheese instead of only offering a smaller roast as makes accessible for little ones Love the location on the green.

Hi, always a great atmosphere. Service was good, we’ve been three times always on a Saturday evening. There were 4 of us, two had burgers and Mozambique chicken. Very nice and the chips awesome. My only slight disappointment was that the chicken wings portion I had seemed smaller than before. Shame as best wings anywhere !

Visited The Royal Oak on Watford Heath on the Easter Bank Holiday Monday with my partner and one year old daughter, as always the service was great from the team. Always happy and can’t do enough for you, we had ‘build your own burgers’ which tasted so good! Our daughter had the kids meal, and surprisingly she ate near enough most of her chicken Goujons peas and chips.

Booked to have a nice Easter roast before it got too busy, service was very good and was looked after from the minute we got there with a nice atmosphere outside in the sun, after living up these ways for about 3 years or more it was my first visit to the pub and wouldn't be my last. We had a wonderful Sunday roast at the King Stag on Easter Sunday. Great service, very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food. And our Dachshund was made so welcome and even had a little dish of dog bones waiting for him ❤️
