Six of us ate and drank, celebrating a birthday. The food was all delicious and plentiful. Our waitress gave us great service with a smile. Couldn’t fault our evening.

We ate at 6:30 on Saturday evening, a little bit early. The food was very good, steak and chicken curry. The restaurant area was occupied my just the two of us and the room was cold (covid we assume). Another time we will book to eat in the bar - a bit more life.

A rather cramped dining area which overall did not spoil the excellent Sunday pork and lamb roast with a good selection of seasonal vegetables. Service was attentive and efficient.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We come in for drinks a bit but will definitely be eating in here more. Fast and efficient service, good food, reasonably priced. Good job all.

I held a Birthday party during the busy Christmas period on Boxing Day. The food, staff, service and atmosphere was excellent. All of the family and friends not only commented on the day, but also after the party on how great the food and service was for the party. They also said what a lovely setting and atmosphere the pub has, would definitely have another party in the future highly recommend The King Stag to family and friends who are looking for a venue.

I just love this pub. Wish it was my local. The staff are always lovely and attententive and the food has never let us down for our misfit family ie vegetarian, gf, allergic and most of all dog friendly. Thank you for looking after us everytime we visit.

Impressed how child friendly the pub was. Had two young boisterous daughters that were made to feel very welcome the minute we walked in the door. Even found the other customers dining there just as friendly as the staff. Food itself was superb but this is common knowledge in the area anyway. Great all round experience
