Went for a Sunday quick lunch, service was very slow and took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. We asked for the kids food to be bought out quickly but this was ignored. Also sat opposite a very loud group literally shouting at each other (not the venues fault of course). Food was fine but very overpriced... I had a veg curry for £13, but it turned out to be a very average potato curry, tasted a bit like a supermarket ready meal tbh. Quite disappointed with the whole experience

Absolutely bloody lovely. Best roast in Bushey along with the Horse and Chains.

Had the Norfolk turkey with cranberry sauce as a pre Christmas Sunday lunch. The food was excellent, really tasty and presented really well. Found the staff friendly and welcoming and look forward to a return visit.

Fantastic lunch with friends. Food was so delicious and the service was just the right level in that they didn't keep hassling us and gave us time to chat as well as order and eat. Would definitely go again and recommend

Booked a table for five people online, found it easy to book online. Excellent communication from the management regarding the booking. Excellent customer service, Excellent customer care, Excellent Food & drinks. The King Stag is a beautiful pub, with Excellent staff along with a very good food and drinks menu. Highly recommend for couples, groups of people or families. The staff were friendly and professional at all times, and very helpful. Great atmosphere within the pub, and I found the food and drinks good value for money

Excellent roast lunch for four I had the nut roast. The meal was probably one of the best roast lunches I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. The service was also excellent, the staff friendly and helpful. The outside under cover was covid friendly with heaters to keep us warm. I will definitely eat there again.

Excellent ambience, great tasting food. Our waitress didnt check with us on the 9pm deadline for our mains. But the staff were kind enough to offer complimentary desserts. Overall good experience. Will be going there again.

Great evening with friends, lovely food, hot and tasty

Probably the best roast we’ve had. So many pubs do a roast that taste very rushed, with soggy potatoes. This roast was excellent and tasted like a proper home cooked and hearty meal. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.

Sunday roast was the best I have had in a restaurant for a long time. We both had the roast beef and it was tender and tasty. The gravy was to die for. Definitely value for money. Service was attentive without being overpowering. Will be back.

Had fantastic dinner at The Horse & Chains on Wednesday night, with our dog too - the food was sooo good, the chefs are excellent , the service top notch, couldn’t have been more helpful. Lovely relaxed pub. Can’t wait to visit again and have some more delicious food. Thank u

Lovely warm welcome on a chilly sunny Sunday. We arrived 25 mins early, but were seated without hesitation. Staff super friendly and helpful. Delicious Sunday roast beef lunch followed by an equally gorgeous apple crumble with ice cream. Busy and buzzing …. couldn’t fault anything! Thank you King Stag

This is a solid 4/5 pub. A cosy and inviting environment that hosts Quiz nights. The food options are good - we had the SA Sausage & Mash and Chicken Burger. Really delicious and tasty. Portion sizes were generous. Service was warm and friendly. Looking to be quiz regulars in the future!
