Food was very nice, service was great too, nice pub and decor, very clean and tidy.

The staff were warm and friendly however some training is desperately needed here the waitress was unaware of what the soup of the day was and when my dining partner asked for a glass of white Zinfandel wine the waitress just said we don't have that and as much as we tried to explain the taste she couldn't offer an alternative losing a wine sale. I ordered the ribeye steak and chips with bordalaise sauce the chips were delicious and crispy the steak not the tastiest but certainly passable however the bordalaise sauce was thin and runny with very little taste and I was very underwhelmed. My dining partner ordered the crispy duck salad which looked delicious however she said 'there is crispy duck and there is overcooked duck that is dry and very hard ' In fact she found it difficult to eat. The salad was even more disappointing to her as it contained coriander which she loathes and I believe this is common to many people so may have been an idea to point out this on the menu. I have eaten at The Horse and Chains previously which has been a delightful experience however my trip this time was very disappointing and certainly could not recommend to my friends and family. I do understand the difficulty the hospitality business has had lately but perhaps it may have been wiser to make sure the waiting staff and chef are fully trained before a full opening resumed.

We had a very enjoyable meal at The Prince George. The starters and Sunday roast were excellent and the staff were attentive and polite.

Fantastic food, we had the Sunday roast extremely well balanced & plenty of it. Staff are brilliant, and cater for your every need and our dog received plenty of attention too. You really feel appreciated.

First visit to this pub for lunch with friends. We chose it as it is dog-friendly. Great service, very friendly and lovely home cooked food (2 x sausage and mash, 1 x gammon, egg and chips). Will definitely be back!

Lovely food but very slow service.

Great meal for our anniversary . Staff attentive and friendly . Only niggle is the lighting where we were seated . One lady on another table was using her torch on her phone to see the menu .

We took our dog here for his birthday....he had a burger, given treats and was made a proper fuss over! We had the vegan mezze for 1 and chicken breast burger which was very nice and generous as a serving. Staff are super friendly and we would recommend to all !

Great food and service

Had a really nice Sunday lunch here - waited a while for our food as it was pretty busy, but management knocked off the price of our starters from the bill as an apology, which was a really nice touch. Will definitely be back and will recommend!

Staff were attentive and friendly and food was good. Couple of extras (mushrooms and caramelized onions) ordered with the free-range chicken burger didn't arrive so it was a bit dry but it was a busy Saturday night.

Great food , lovely pub , fab friendly staff

Not for the first time a superb sunday lunch of Roast Beef with all the trimmings. My cousin, who had never been to the Stag, had the Nut Roast and said it was one of the best she had tasted.

Lovely local pub, dog friendly and a great atmosphere. Had an evening meal of chicken Breast Burger and fries. Served , presented promptly with good service. Tasted great. Lovely evening thank you

We had a lovely Sunday roast, and they do great cocktails. Bit pricey
