Arrived at 7pm for table booked for 7.30 which was fine, took our drinks to table. Had to ask for menu at 8pm no one offered them. First two choices off the menu unavailable, no one took our order till 8:15. Food was very average, not gastro standard my partner left most of hers. However beer was fresh and tasty Neck Oil. Staff were pleasant but not alert.

I understand paying for the sauce but it’s a pub not an a la carte restaurant. The presentation wasn’t great either and there should be an option for a smaller steak than the sirloin on offer. Got sat in the dog friendly section without asking if we had allergies which I do so we were moved. Really hard to get attention of waiting staff in the main restaurant as they are tucked around the corner and should be visible and monitoring when not taking orders. Staff were friendly.
