The Horse and Chains – BusheyLovely meal, food excellent, service quick, efficient and friendly. Highly recommend
The Horse and Chains – BusheyVery lucky to have this pub as my local. Fantastic food, lovely cozy atmosphere and very attentive staff. I will continue to go back again and again and again.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordHad drinks and food in the sun yesterday. As before the food was of high standard. The calamari was the best we have had lovely and fresh and not frozen rings as you get elsewhere. The chicken wings are to die for. Highly recommend for eaters bag and drinking. Staff are always happy and very accommodating. Keep it up guys
The Prince George – WatfordLovely pub especially on a sunny day. The staff work very hard to keep everyone happy, always with a smile and a suggestion on food and drinks. Good menu with something for everyone and the food was great. Imaginative and tasty.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordWe have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. The food is always really good and the menu is very varied. I love the transformation with the car park area now a covered seating area and this has also increased the number of customers which is great for them. The staff are all really good. Very friendly and efficient. They are good with their Covid rules. Masks have to be worn if you’re walking around. Always our first choice for an evening out
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordGreat atmosphere very good service and top notch food.
The Horse and Chains – BusheyLovely food, very attentive staff.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordTook my dad out for lunch, he was quite excited, as he hadn’t been out to eat anywhere for over a year. Food choice interesting with some standards and some South African cuisine. Starters delicious and well presented so too were the main courses. Would come back to try some of the more interesting food choices. Service pleasant and helpful, food arrived promptly. It was a little chilly in the dining room but of necessity I would think to keep a good airflow.
The Horse and Chains – BusheyThe service for our meal was excellent. The menu choices were interesting and rather different from the standard pub grub. However, we would have liked some more common dishes! Also, some of the food did appear to have been warmed through rather than cooked freshly.
The Golden Fleece – WareMy wife and I booked Sunday lunch here as it was roughly half-way for us both to travel. I have had very good meals here in the past and today was no exception. Our table was ready for us as we arrived and we were attended to in a friendly and efficient way. The choice of meals for a Sunday lunchtime was impressive and everything that arrived at the table was excellent: everyone enjoyed the soup and I was delighted with my venison ribs: always a special treat to have something that I wouldn't dream of attempting to cook myself! My wife's nut roast and friends' beef ragu and chicken were pronounced excellent. Sadly, we were too full for puddings. Many thanks for making an old friends' reunion special!
The Golden Fleece – WareThis was our first visit and it was for a birthday celebration - from our party there were mixed reviews. The staff and atmosphere were lovely, and there is a charming looking garden and terrace area to the rear (although it was raining so we stayed inside). The food was good, although I think to stand up to the competition locally it would be nice to have the little extras like crackling, stuffing, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, etc. Those little touches do make a difference. It's always nice to stumble across a local pub that does a reliable good homely roast with all the trimmings and I feel the Golden Fleece has just a little way to go to become that.
The Golden Fleece – WareTapas night. Great atmoshphere with quality food and really friendly helpful staff. A truly superb evening. If the standards are this high the rest of the time well be visiting much more often!
The Golden Fleece – WareHad an excellent Sunday roast, nice atmosphere and the waitresses and waiters were absolutely lovely. Will definitely be returning
The Golden Fleece – WareWent for Sunday lunch with my partner-excellent food and service, great to see a wide range of Gluten Free options!
The Golden Fleece – WareCame on Friday with my partner and Mum and stepdad. Lovely greeting as walked in. Sat at table and was left a while until seen for drinks. Ordered and ordered food at the same time. One waitress was lovely and attentive the other was like we was bothering her. Restaurant wasn’t that busy for the too busy attitude. Food wasn’t as nice as the previous visits although wasn’t an actual fault just we all had had better
The Golden Fleece – WareWent for a meal with my book group. Although it was very busy the service was very good. The food was delicious and lovely for the GF/DF people in our group to have so much choice. Definitely will be back.
