Lovely Sunday lunch yesterday, table of four with one person Gluten Free which was catered for beautifully. Service was very good and all food was served piping hot. The only downside was it is set two or three courses and one of the people dining wasn’t very hungry and only wanted a starter and a dessert, but the starter was charged as a main meal, which was disappointing.

A beautiful Sunday lunch at The Bricklayers yesterday. The beef in parts was slightly more rarer than I like. I don’t know if you can request how you like it on ordering, probably just pot luck how it is calved, but it would not put me off returning as it was delicious. Starter and pudding fab too! Looking forward to returning again.

I took my mum out for dinner last Friday and we both had the 8ounce sirloin steak and oh my days it was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted my mum said it was the best meal out she had ever had! Food/Staff/Price all 10/10 x will definitely be going back for more.

We had a fantastic Sunday, yet again. Staff cheerful and attentive. Facilities were great and clean. Would we go again, oh yes we would.

Excellent Sunday lunch, service was great and food warm warm and delicious

Visited on 24/01/26, we have been on a number of occasions before. Unfortunately, on this occasion the food was not up to scratch. I had Meatfeast Pizza which came to the table overcooked and the ladies both had sea bass which was a tiny portion and the vegetables were undercooked. When the waitress cleared the table I told her I was disappointed with the pizza and she instantly offered me a free dessert, which I thought was very good service. Unfortunately, we did not make her aware that we were disappointed with the sea bass as it would have seemed we were angling for more free desserts. Service was good, the restaurant was very busy and the atmosphere was nice too. Just a shame on this occasion the food did not hit the mark!! This will not stop us visiting again but on this occasion it was disappointing.

What a great lunch with two friends! The food was fabulous, the welcome very warm, the service was first class and the environment very pleasant. I booked the Bricklayers off an internet search to be halfway for us and our friends and made a terrific choice. Big thank you to the staff!

Nice atmosphere, good service, plenty of food. Went for Sunday lunch and also provide an excellent Sunday lunch for a coeliac.

As usual excellent food first class presentation and immaculate service.

We’ve used this pub several times for food, and no issues. Yesterday our Sunday lunch was served and it was lukewarm. I spoke to the waitress and to her credit and the chef both our meals were replaced with ones that were piping hot and delicious. Something obviously went wrong between serving it up and delivering but it was immediately rectified. Good service and dealt with professionally and in a friendly manner. Credit to the chef - it was very hot indeed!
