Arrived at the pub a little earlier than expected but that was no problem at all.The decor in the pub was beautiful and atmosphere very welcoming. Had a choice of two tables one of our party had mobility problems as I requested in our booking form so table was fine.As one of our party has slight dementia as well it took a little longer ordering but the lovely staff were very attentive and nothing was not too much trouble. Lovely starters and I went for the burger with side of onion rings very tasty but could not finish all the chunky chips,partner commentated how delicious her pork chops were all in all I would be definitely going back and would recommend the bricklayers to anyone.

So glad to have this pub in the next village to us. We don’t every week but when we do go the food is always spot on. The place looks so cosy now the dark nights are here and you can’t help look in through the windows when I drive home.

Well worth a visit, excellent food, great service and reasonable prices. I will be visiting again in the future.

Midday lunch with friends. Quick friendly service. Great food ordered from the lunch time menu. Well worth a trip.

Really fabulous and great value.

Although my group enjoyed the food and atmosphere it wasn’t a patch on my last visit about four weeks ago. The starters were served without the trimmings which demonstrates a lack of managment control. My homemade pie was completely different from my previous looked worse than a Asda pie obviously not home made. Ran out of Merlot wine. Overall sloppy .

Recently had Sunday lunch with two friends; food was beautiful and hot, well presented and staff friendly and courteous. Being coeliac, I need gluten free food which is never a problem here; even received stuffing balls and Yorkshire pudding, very rare. Options for GF desserts too.

Fantastic food & lovely service

I took my partner children and her parents for Sunday lunch as a birthday treat . I chose the bricklayers as I read the reviews and it sounded great and were just down the road . The overall feeling after the meal was disappointment . Even though we tied a birthday balloon to her chair nobody wished my partner happy birthday , not a problem but would have been nice . Service was good and the young lady who served us was polite and friendly . The food came out really quickly after ordering making it seemed rushed . That’s were the problems began . They forgot all of our stuffing balls , another plate had no carrots on and my daughter’s plate was an adult plate which was taken away and brought back as a children’s plate . The beef was lovely and rare but the pork and turkey a little dry . The broccoli was quite crunchy for me and the gravy didn’t have much taste . It was as although the kitchen was under pressure and rushing things . It was such a shame as we were looking forward to it . I didn’t complain at the time as I didn’t want to spoil her birthday . To be fair we have had a previous meal there not a Sunday lunch though and it was great .

Best carvery we have ever had at a pub! Great atmosphere and lovely place. Staff very friendly also. Highly recommend

Lovely food and very generous portions. Staff were lovely, even though we brough two very bog dogs with us. Not quiet in our neck of the woods, but definitely see us going again!

My wife and I had a lovely Sunday lunch,food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Myself and my husband and daughter visited for Sunday lunch . The pub and restaurant were very busy. We arrived a few minutes early. The carpark opposite which is fairly big was full so we parked a little further on . We were asked to wait a bit for our table as it was still occupied. As said very busy in all areas, but plenty of staff. My daughter was 10min late looking for a parking place. . My husband and I ordered Sunday roast and my daughter had a vegetarian dish. We didn’t discuss the meal as we were too busy talking. Not a thing was left on any plate. We decided on a dessert and asked the waitress to decide for us, chocolate something with ice cream. Yum. My husband had cheese and biscuits. Now this was a talking point, it was amazing. Coffee machine had broken so we were offered instant. Oh hurrah! No decision to make. Coffee was actually very good.
