Another gem in Hull. Great to have a restaurant with people that know their stuff and have put in the work elsewhere before making the leap of opening their own place. Pork croquettes were a highlight as were the birria tacos. Looking forward to coming back!

We decided to return to the Banarasi for a double family birthday celebration 7 adults and a baby. Provided a highchair for the baby and was very welcoming. Service was excellent and the food was very nice and served hot especially the Banarasi burner which my son ordered. We will definitely be returning.

We had the most aesthetically pleasing, piping hot, tasty and delicious food in this restaurant. Staff were tentative and respectful. We will definitely be back!

Our second visit (in a month) and once more... we want to rebook! Wonderful experience. From the warm, genuine welcome to the all round polite, prompt, friendly service and utterly delightful food experience do not miss the Indian Street Food dishes. We loaded up on them (order a good 4-5 to get the full experience and range) and then had a curry to share for mains. You will not go wrong, sensational food and flavours just melt in the mouth and the drink prices are reasonable too so why not make this your treat tea time out? Once you try, I guarantee you'll be returning again. No wonder these guys are in the last 66 of the regional restaurant food finals. The quality is there for all to see. Well done, guys and we'll see you soon (Nokia man!)

Enjoyed a lovely meal at the Aegean a couple of days ago - we didn't catch the waiters name but the service he gave us was great, including surprising one of our group with a tomahawk pork chop when he asked for a recommendation for his main and giving us a free portion of baklava to try before we left. The souvlaki, pitta and dips were flawless. We'll definitely be dining there again!

We came here for my partner's 25th birthday and it couldn't have been better. We were admittedly sceptical when we arrived as it was small downstairs and looked like a takeaway, but after biting the bullet and walking in we were guided upstairs to a lovely restaurant setting. We had incredible food, tried new things, and had amazing service throughout. The icing on the cake for this was that they had provided a perfect ending with a pudding with happy birthday written on it, as well as giving me some ideas of other places to finish the night as we didn't know the area. I would highly recommend anyone to come here and try this amazing hidden gem in Hull.

We booked for Friday teatime, a family of four with two teenagers. We had seen the social media post for the flank steak and mash, which the husband and son had and said it was outstanding, perfectly cooked and amazing flavours. Daughter had the Birra tacos with the dipping 'gravy' i had the gambas with crispy leeks both were beautiful and I will admit to drinking the rest of the 'gravy' from the pot after daughter had finished. We also all tried the chorizo corn dog. I expected it to be too spicy for myself but it was perfect, will definitely be back for that one! The cost of the meal was great for a family of four and we all left with full tummies! Altogether a very lovely meal, in lovely surroundings and the staff where on the ball, very capable and very friendly. I reccomend to everyone

First time we have been. won't be the last. Service very good food arrived promptly obvious it was all freshly cooked. We chose the all you can eat menu, enjoyed every dish we chose, Excellent value for money and they had a bitter to drink rather than just lagers. Only marked it 4/5 for atmosphere because we were there for them opening, first ones in but as we were leaving it was definitely getting busier.

We visited at 2:30PM on a Sunday, it was clear during the booking process that this would be the brunch menu; however, it did not matter as the food was superb! The tacos were bursting with flavour, especially the birria, gambas and chicken tinga! The birria was so good we had to order more. The hash browns were also delicious and came with a fresh tomato salsa which complimented them well. Service was superb and was well worth the money. We will be visiting again to try some of the dishes from the evening menu.

Stunning. Been for tacos and the breakfast and both amazing. Everything we had was so so tasty. Recommend to everyone!

Pre booked, arrived really early, our table wasn’t ready but we were able to wait and the staff got us drinks and some peppers for the table (tasted amazing). The atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly. Didn't feel rushed. But was unclear if we could pay at the table or down at the counter. As we hadn’t eaten a lot of Mexican style food we had to google some of the dishes to know what we were going to be eating. The beef Birria tacos was very spicy, we could take the heat - but it masked all other flavours. We needed the Patatas con tajin to take some of the heat away after each mouthful. The potatoes were lovely, cooked really well, soft but crispy outside. The roast chicken taco was lacking in flavour. The chips and dips were ok, but again the dips lacked flavour. Everything was clearly homemade, and good ingredients used. The lemon ice tea was lovely. Overall everything looked amazing, but the flavours didn’t back it up. Would possibly go again to try other dishes as the ingredients were good. Toilet was clean, tidy and liked that they used sustainable products.
