Early booking for 6 people at 5pm unfortunately the restaurant was quite chilly. Good food & getups portions, fast if somewhat abrupt service. We had a carafe of the house wine, perfectly palatable. Would recommend but take a scarf and wear a cardi!

What a chilled bar and restaurant. Amazing service, exciting drinks and tasty food….just what we needed after a busy week!

Nice food and plenty of it, good service. The only thing that let it down was it was so cold in the restaurant we didn’t hang around too long!

Visited on 28/1/2023 2 adults 3 kids, from the start the service was amazing, we asked to move tables to be more in the atmosphere and it was no problem at all. The drinks came out in good time and there wasn’t much of a wait for our food order to be taken. When the food came it was well presented and tasted awesome. I will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend. Good work keep it up 5⭐️

We had a great experience at Roots Rum Shack, Hull. The food was tasty, well prepared and plentiful, the service was excellent, as was the atmosphere and the music We have been to Jamaica visiting family, and living locally many times over the years, and have visited many similar Jerk Kitchen style places that abound there, and the Roots Rum Shack in Hull compares very favourably with any of those we have visited in every respect, except of course the weather. We will definitely go to Roots Rum Shack again.

Absolutely incredible as always. Took my bestie out for a well deserved treat and she’d never been before. Had starters and mains, with a few glasses of wine. The food was exquisite as always! She had the pork gyros I had the chicken. We shared a bit of each so she could try mine and I’d never tried the pork. It was perfection! Juicy tender and full of flavour. The staff are just incredible every time I go, this time was no different. Hands down my favourite place to go! Cannot fault a single thing and recommend this place to everyone! Thank you so much for yet another amazing meal
