My husband and myself frequent Cuckoo's on a regular basis. We love this little coffee shop all our special requests are always fully met,and we have nothing to complain about-apart from the constant changing of faces in there!!!The staff don't seem to stay very long-which is a shame as the service provided varies considerably on our visits...i find the remaining original staff very friendly,pleasant,efficent and a great asset to Cuckoo's.Keep up the Good work girls-

This restaurant used to be very good but has rapidly declined perhaps due to complacency after building a good reputation. The waiters were extremely arrogant and unhelpful. The chicken was undercooked of one member of our party and on complaining he was summoned from his seat to the kitchen to be confronted by the chef. A wholly unpleasant experience and seriously overpriced for average food - if looking for a good restaurant in the Hull area restaurants to be recommended include: Lazaat in Cottingham, Luciano's in Hessle or San Luca in Hessle. Medici's will certainly have to get its act together to compete with the many other quality restaurants in Hull.

Fantastic atmosphere accompanied by fabulous food and good wine. The decor and layout of the venue transports you to a virtual holiday destination, the restaurant would not look out of place in a holiday resort, Greece maybe. The waiting staff were ever helpful and polite, the service was first class. Al round excellent night.

Sat outside on a very windy Sunday lunchtime and had excellent cappuccino - large cup, nice froth, good value. Then we saw the cakes and just had to have something - chocolate muffin, beautifully presented and fruits of the forest cheesecake - real cheesecake that melted in the mouth - a bit pricey but well worth it! The food being served to others looked very appetising - Go and try it!!!

Good food in comfortable surroundings

First time i went to railway inn was a bit of a revelation. The atmosphere was welcoming the food was real and well presented with a taste that has yet to be beaten for me. the portions are large and almost feel like your not going to finish until you put that last bite on your fork. the sweet range is excellent and the staff are happy to cater for unusual taste in food as my wife found out. My rating is 10 out of 10 and i have frequently recommended this quaint pub and i have never heard a complaint. Enjoy :)

Pub or restaurant meals very generous and reasonably priced. The steak pie is heavenly but do try to leave some room for the treacle pud. I cant go without mentioning the home cooked REAL chips. But if you only want a salad you will not be disappointed as these are generous. Often busy but without a hurried atmosphere, staff always friendly and caters for all age groups , very popular with the greying set but don't let this put families or couples off, all are welcomed. Strange mix of modern and traditional decor but comfortable for bar meal. Very good value

Veggie restaurant where the first person to book a table on an evening gets to choose the theme of the food. They like a challenge, so Peruvian is welcome!

Since Richard and Liam returned this place has began to buzz. The service is second to none and the food is excellent. I would recommend this restaurant, the menu is varied catering for all tastes (including the big appetite) and it is served piping hot and with a smile.

Medici restaurant offers exceptional food with a warm, friendly service. The food is priced to suit all pockets and extremely good value. North Ferriby and the surrounding villages are so lucky having such a fine restaurant on their doorsteps.

An excellent all round experience! Plush dark wood and plum decor add a touch of class considering you are in a casino,(separated away from the main gaming area)with swift and attentive service and the absolute high point being the delicious and superbly presented food. Granted, this review is based on a Sunday Lunch menu, which is set at 3 courses(selections to suit all),and the choice through the week is far and varied, but by these standards I would gladly visit at any time due to the faultless experience that is Napoleons. Great for couples and groups, as I have visited on more than one occasion, more recently with my girlfriend who was also impressed by the quality on offer and over time the standards have not slipped a bit which impressed me! Membership is required unless you are a guest of a card holder and it is a very popular destination so booking is advisable. Go and enjoy!!

I would say best restaurant in and around Hull. Always very good service and excellent Italian food. The staff always have looked after us and it always has a very good buzz about it. Love it!

Excellent Italian restaurant which is very welcoming. Great food and excellent service on every frequent visit. Seems to be very popular for parties but that does not distract if you are having a meal a deux. Prices range from the very reasonable pizzas up to the pricier specials board. But good value whichever way.
