I have dined here on and off over the last few years and have never been disappointed. The authentic cuisine, friendliness of the staff and quaint ambiance make this by far my favorite place to dine in Hull.

Bond Street Restaurant & Bar – HullI recently visited the Oyster Catcher Hull due to the refurbishment taking place and the change of diners. On arrival into the restaurant it looked fantastic and greatly welcoming. This was the only good of the whole restaurant. The staff are unknowledgable of the products and slow at service. We were seated by a young lady no older than 20 and was introduced to another no older than 16. it took 40 mins for our starter to come out and another 20 to be took to the carvery area. The meat was very dry and the vegetables undercooked. The prices that you pay for the food are high considering the quality of food you receive. All in all I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there. Bad service and bad quality of food.
The Oyster Catcher – Hullbest Indian restaurant in hull *great food *great service *very nice restaurant *must try the chicken tikka jalfrezi people try it now trust me
Madras, The – HullThis venue is not nor has it ever been a restaurant. It is however a lovely old quality style pub, friendly atmosphere, excellent beer and a lovely beer garden at the side with a shelter and heater to cater for the smokers.
Kingston Arms – HullPretty much the standard chain restaurant. Good food, nice atmosphere, best for parties or when dining with teenagers. Good choice of food, not the cheapest but not expensive either.
Frankie and Bennys – HullAbsolutely AMAZING. I live in Dublin where great food is at every corner. The service is great, but its food that makes this stand out from the of the restaurant around Hull. My wife is from hull so i visit every so often and sample other restaurants but this really surprised me at how flavoursome everything was. Huge portions, the starters are possible the tastiest things I have ever put in my mouth. I know I might be going over board, but its the best restaurant I have ever eaten at.
Saffron Restaurant – HullFantastic value for money 2 for £30 including bottle of house wine during the week what more could you want and food really good. We go at least once a month and quite often more
Saffron Restaurant – Hullgreat food with lots to choose from, staff are always there when you need them. best in the world
Railway Inn – HullI have been dining at the Lantern Restaurant (and many others) for the past 40 years, I can say without a moments hesitation the beef stroganoff magically prepared by the owner chef Andrios is the finest I have eaten anywhere in the WORLD. (Stoganoff-Rice-Greek Salad-Onion Rings & a bottle of Othello Red Wine). What a superb 'value for money' meal out.
The Lantern Restaurant – HullAbsolutely terrible experience! First the portions of the main meal were tiny. Bigger than nouvelle cuisine, but more like starter size. Next the food was cold but the plate were red hot, which says to me the food had been MICROWAVED! We complained about the portion size to the owner. His response was that it was a free country and if we weren't happy, don't come back! We sent the food back to be reheated, and to be fair it came back hot, with the added bonus of larger portions. Thank God the kitchen staff give a damn, unlike the owner! To add insult to injury, the bill came back wrong. We'd been charged for a bottle of wine twice... I wish I could believe it was an innocent mistake, but the explanation from the waiter wasn't very convincing, and he didn't seem at all surprised by it. Am I being cynical? The food tasted good, not brilliant, but good. Service from the staff was great. Just avoid the owner, while he is very friendly and outgoing, he comes across as very arrogant and just cares about getting your money!
San Luca – HullThe Station its self is a very nice place the food is delicious and the staff are very friendly. I would not advise anyone to go to the clairvoyant evening. We went and I we were very disappointed, having been to several meetings elsewhere we know we were conned. £7 to get you there then to be told £20 for a reading and £25 for an indepth mtg; My late mother was a medium and I soon picked up this lady was making things up as she went along. We had a £1-00 raffle that would have been nice if the proceeds had gone to a charity. Looking into the future no we will not be attending another mtg.
Station Hotel – HullThe Sunday lunches are the best and great value you must try the Steak Pies...i've tried others recently in other pubs and they do not compare... also the lemon blossom cheese cake and the wotta a lotta toffee dessert is to die for!!! they are open now during the week for more excellent food..will have to try going for tea one night.
Bay Horse – Hullawesome food, great place, friendly staff, best I've ever been too, highly recommended
Madras, The – HullVisited Bay Horse a few weeks ago through word of mouth. I can honestly say the food was fabulous. Best Sunday Roast I have eaten in this City and we have tried quite a few believe me.
Bay Horse – HullRailway has the lot now with a reasonable pint of good draught beer to wash down the excellent cuisine ..been a regular over many years and yet to experience poor service, meals, all at excellent cost. Keep up the good work Sue and Staff.
Railway Inn – HullThe food is first rate along with the very helpful and bubbly staff, this makes for a very pleasant eating experience. Top marks to the management of this establishment.
Chiquito Restaurant and Bar – HullWhile visiting relatives in Hull we decided to visit the Bay Horse for a meal. We can fully recommend the food which is all home cooked. Michelle and Paul the licensees, are perfect hosts and there is a great atmosphere and a very warm welcome for everyone who enters the Bay Horse. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we will certainly be returning. Michelle's Banoffee pie is first class!
Bay Horse – HullI would highly recommend Napoleans.I recently went in the new year for a sunday lunch.Ive already booked to go again (twice)!Everything is absolutely spot on. Excellent all round, the food, the staff, the surroundings and price.Superb! Could not fault it. Im making sure all my friends become members. Be sure to book early.
Napoleons Casino and Restaurant – HullIf you cannot decide what you would like try the Meze - a selection of starters, fish, meat & salad dishes for £34.
Or our Meat Platter for 2 is £26.50 per person.
