Again a lovely well presented and cooked meal with the type of service the Rising Moon has a well deserved reputation for. Wheelchair access plus the pleasant and very helpful staff brings the evening to a satisfying memory. Well done to you all and thanks.

Brilliant place to meet up with old school friends. We were seated near the door, but moved us on request as it was cold and draughty. As we settled to our new table, there was a party behind us that was so loud, we couldn't hear our own conversation. After another request, we were found another quieter table where we could eat in relative peace. The food was delicious and served promptly. Adam, who looked after us, went above and beyond his remit, making sure we had a good night. Delicious food and great service.

The staff here absolutely make this place - they are so, so nice and welcoming and great with my daughter! The food was delicious as always and a big thank you to Gee for serving us and being so lovely! We come here quite regularly and will continue to do so because of the amazing service!! We were a group of 7 and went for our Christmas get together on 12 December. The meal was really good, no one had any complaints and the brandy snap dessert was excellent. The service was very slow but we all felt sorry for the waiting on staff as it was really busy and they needed at least one other person to deal with the amount of diners.

Ate here on Tuesday lunchtime 10th December with friends. The food was excellent as always, the staff were lovely but the service was a bit slow possibly due to it being busy.

Had a lovely meal with my dad on Tuesday afternoon he can't get out the house much. the lady (GEE) that served us She was so kind ,respectful & so helpful. we will definitely be back soon thankyou ..

Booked to meet family for a pre Christmas meal and we looked around the area prior to booking and came based on reviews. Amazing old school pub favouriteson the menu along side more modern styles. Food was absolutely beautiful, the Lamb Henry was perfect! And the homemade gravy was clearly not packet mix rubbish, it was superb. Steak pie and chips was great as well, absolutely full of meat, and the chips were huge chunky chips. Great value compared to where we live (Cheshire) and surroundings were lovely. The only niggle is the slightly slow service to keep up with drinks as the pub was pretty quiet at the time. But the staff were all lovely and helpful so all was good. Keep up the good work in the kitchen but maybe keep an eye on customers tables a bit more considering how many staff were available. We will certainly return to try more of the menu!!

We came for a meal on Sunday 8th December. The meal was lovely and the staff are always so nice and always have a smile on there faces. We really enjoyed our visit and we will be back very soonxxx

The food and service was fine. Communication was dire. Booked for 4pm on Saturday 7/12. Party of 6. Were advised when we arrived that the table was needed at 6pm as there was a function. Accepted this but would have been better if we had been advised prior. Much to our disappointment, it wasn't just the table that was required. The whole pub was shutting at 6pm for a private function. 30th birthday party? We were rushed to finish our drinks and then ushered out. This spoilt what was intended to be a leisurely family get together. If I had been given this information on booking I would have gone elsewhere. We have eaten here a few times. I will think twice before returning. Poor show. Disappointing.

Here is my review… Well, the meal was I suspected.. the Turkey was tasteless, I was brought water instead of tonic water, the gravy had never seen meat and was very salty (probably to encourage us to order more drinks), the potatoes were rehydrated, the vegetables were served on the plate and not in dishes.. a real problem for one of our group. The bream with just rice and no vegetables , we had to wait 30 minutes between those having a starter, and 30 between main and dessert (which at least lived up to expectation). But as you can guess, the meal did not live up to expectations.. if It hadn’t been for the company I would have caused a fuss. As it was, they were informed by most of us of our disappointment. When I’ve been before, the general menu was fine, but this was supposed to be a Christmas Special and, ergo, more expensive! I will not go again.

A small family lunch get together. Lovely food and reasonably priced, something to suit everyone. The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a great place to catch up with friends and family.

Our food was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed by all our party, however the service was below par being extremely slow. I appreciate that this is probably your busiest time of year but I feel that we waited an unacceptable length of time for our food. I don't wish to seem negative but this was also the case on our previous visit. Your bar seemed congested with staff, at times vying to serve the same customer. I reiterate that your menu and the dishes on offer are excellent and your food is top quality but speed of service spoils the dining experience.

As always the Rising Moon rose to the occasion for my meal with daughter and son in law, the food was amazing (yet again), service second to none, and at the most value for money in any eatery I've been in. Well done to all at the remarkable Rising Moon. Many many thanks Rod x
