I visited The Rising Moon with two friends on Tuesday 2 July. I had reserved a table. We were greeted by a friendly team and settled at a table. We were asked about drinks first which came quickly. We needed time to make food choices and that was fine. All meals were hot, nicely presented, tasty. Would recommend this pub for meals Thanks to Brooke for her attention to three of her primary school teachers

Had a lovely family meal on 30th June. Food lovely and tasty. I cant praise the staff enough. So efficient and friendly what a great team. Everywhere was spotless a lovely experience and we will be back.

Have always had a good time and meal when visiting and although food was good today our visit could have been better. We arrived and were shown to a table told someone would be over in a couple of minutes 20 minutes later and no one had been. We then ordered drinks which arrived but the wine glasses were dirty. There was a long wait for food after we ordered and when it arrived we had to ask for a spoon for the soup as the staff put it down and walked away. At no point were we asked if everything was ok, if we had everything we needed or did staff approach to ask if any other drinks were wanted. When plates were cleared again we were not asked if the food was ok and not asked if desserts were wanted. We had to go to the bar to get additional drinks as the staff did not look in our direction. A staff member came to bring the coffees and desserts we ordered at the bar and told us we would need to vacate the table in 30 minutes. We ate our desserts, drank coffees and then it took 20 minutes for someone to be free to get us the bill. There was a large party that was obviously pre-booked and it appeared staff were only interested in those customers, if they were unable to provide service they should not have been allowing other customers to order. We were planning on staying for additional drinks after eating however due to the service from the staff we went to a pub further down the road!

Second time here and again the service was spot on, food was delicious. Lovely place to eat and will definitely be going again.

The service was great. We did not have to wait for our table. The service was lovely and they checked if everything was ok. The food was so nice and chef is very good at their job! We will definitely be back

Always top of my list when going out for a meal and drinks as food is always really good quality for the money and service I can’t fault. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and is always a place I recommend to friends and family when they come to visit. Visited on Monday for my wife’s birthday and as always was made to feel so welcome food was great honestly could not fault it made the mistake of ordering cocktails only to hear the two young staff working behind the bar constantly making comments to one another about us ordering a cocktail and not say anything to us when coming over to the table. Was a real shame because everything else was perfect and the side was let down by these two staff members.

Family Sunday lunch out, food and service both very good. A big shout out to the staff on duty as my wife left her phone behind…they called me promptly to let me know they had it safe and we could collect. Thank you!

Well what can w e say the food was excellent the service was brilliant the staff were very helpful all in all would highly recommend the Rising Moon.

We had a table of 8 for my Husband’s 50th birthday The table was set & ready on arrival with the balloons I’d dropped in earlier that day. Our server (sorry didn’t tell us her name) was lovely & cheerful despite being busy. Food was lovely, great portions, all hot. Only downside was the wait we had, unfortunately a chef had gone home poorly so the kitchen was under pressure which is obviously unforeseen circumstances but just a little heads up at the start would have put us in the picture more.. all staff very apologetic for the wait though & they were obviously affected. Overall lovely evening meal Thanks

Lovely meal went with friend from Wales and daughters my friend was well impressed

First visit on Friday night, food and service was fabulous, really friendly staff, I had fish n chips my daughter had the crispy beef and rice and we both really enjoyed it

Brilliant food and service as always. Only disappointment was having to wait outside in the rain for 7mins (after the opening time) while “the boss finished his team meeting”. Not the best start. Staff are great though. Always make you feel welcome and speak to the kids.
