My wife and I visited the rising moon on Sunday afternoon the 18th of February. We enjoyed a lovely meal however, My wife checked the receipt when we got home and noticed that we had been charged £28.00 for a bottle of wine that was listed at £19.95, we thought we might have made a mistake and ordered the wrong wine however on checking the wine list on line to confirm we found that there was no wine listed at £28.00 and because we had brought the remainder of the bottle home we knew that we had the wine listed at £19.95. We have not been able to contact the pub by telephone and after a number of emails have still not received a satisfactory response.

Excellent food all my family enjoyed it and will definitely be returning

Our visit on Sunday really left a lot to be desired. Delay with the drinks, the food took about 35 minutes to arrive at our table. Food was good, we both had roast beef dinners. Once we finished we were asked about desserts and so we asked for the menu. No menu arrived so we decided to just get the bill. That too was not brought to the table, we ended up having to get ourselves from the bar. Altogether it took over 2 hours to just have 2 drinks and 2 main courses.

Really good service and very nice meal.

Then food was very nice, very expensive but nice. The service felt very rushed and there was an obvious issue with a member of staff which was not dealt with privately.

Lovely pub great food and service will definitely go again

Went with my husband, Dad, Aunt and Uncle. Menu was comprehensive and service overall was very good. The staff were all very pleasant, especially our waiter, but we did have a while to wait for the food, even though we were only the second table to order and we were only ordering mains. But would definitely go back because the food is always lovely and fresh.

Lovely pub/restaurant. Staff very welcoming. Food gorgeous. Compliments to the chef and Adam was a lovely young man full credit to him he made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be going back again.

We go here regularly, and it never disappoints. The food is lovely and plentiful- you're never hungry when you leave! The staff are attentive and polite. I really can't fault this place and can't wait to go again.

The staff were really helpful and friendly and looked after us. The food was absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Had a fab meal like we always do we came on Sunday for the Yorkshire pudding day had a chicken dinner in a pudding my son had chicken Carbonara in a pudding and we loved our meals . Staff are so lovely at the rising moon 10 out of 10 to them all.

Had a great meal at the Rising Moon on Saturday, as there was 13 of us, we sent through our order in advance, everything was ready for us, food was hot, no complaints, as always service was fantastic!

Really enjoyed our meal it was hot and delicious even though we all had different meals. The service was excellent and really friendly staff . No complaints at all.

Had a special, beef and bean casserole, was absolutely delicious. Portions are very large but they do smaller versions of some of the mains which is great if you don’t have a big appetite
