Great local pub with fantastic food, hence very busy, so booking early essential. Warm welcome from staff and good selection of beers and wine. Prawn starter was amazingly good and recommended. Really tasty main of beetroot bourguignon and pheasant.

My wife and I had a superb meal at The Pheasant last Tuesday evening. Her rainbow trout was lovely and my homemade steak pie really was ‘homemade’ and very tasty. Veg were beautifully cooked ( ie not over cooked like you get in many eateries) The staff were all very attentive and friendly adding to the lovely atmosphere We tried to book again on our last evening ( Friday ) but it was all fully booked - but we will definitely be back on our next trip to the Lakes !

We had dinner at the pheasant on Sunday, food was excellent and the staff could not have been more Accommodating, would recommend this pub to anyone.

I booked at least a month of staying in Keswick, due to amazing reviews, We were not disappointed, gorgeous Roast lunch with all the trimmings, The Yorkshire puddings were huge. Very welcoming staff and were lovely and attentive to us . Welcomed my dog too . Nothing was no trouble at all. Highly recommended.

I posted a reasonably positive review on google and got a defensive response from The Pheasant. The service was slow and inattentive, the response was that this was because they were busy… what? Lots of places are busy and the service is great… if you ask for feedback, listen… if you don’t really want feedback don’t ask… if you want to know how to do it better, visit Casa Bella.

The food and drinks were overpriced. The food was ok. The staff were nice and friendly.

Great food, friendly staff, good choice on menu

We had a very pleasent meal in the Pheasant in. Beef and Pork with all the trimmings brilliantly cooked. Very nice enviroment with nice people and more than a few dogs. We enjoyed ourselves no end.

What a fabulous place to stop for a pint or something to eat. We spent a lovely evening in this cosy, welcoming pub last week. (5th Aug) The food was superb, really well presented with excellent ingredients. Our 2 dogs were very welcome and the staff could not have been nicer. Highly recommend this place as a great stop off while visiting the Lake District. We will most definitely return. Thanks to all of the team there.

Sunday 10th Aug , service chaos wheels fell off after a hot busy day. Flat Peroni offered , it’s ok when jizzed up by pumping more gas, sorry . Beer Wainright same issue but drinkable. Excuses given that it’s been like this all day and they keep coming in despite booking system, afraid too many walk ins appeared even after 8.15 last booking? None of the familiar faces serving, team fell apart . Food as always was excellent as usual.

Lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The Lamb Henry was excellent. Would visit again. Reservation is recommended.

Booked here for a Sunday lunch, excellent quality food and great service. Definitely book your table I am pleased we did as it was full of people at 12:30.

We finally visited here and it was absolutely worth it. It was an extremely busy Friday night but the staff were friendly and helpful (even though they were rushed off their feet). Food was incredible too. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Keswick.

We have eaten here many times and enjoyed every one. The food is excellent, and portions generous. Prices are average. The staff are always friendly and helpful. If they are very busy it may take a little while to be served but it's certainly worth the wait. If we want a meal out, it's always our first choice.
