Hi , We have been visiting The Pheasant for a few years now . For myself and wife it’s always been the number one restaurant in Keswick . As a coeliac I have always found this a safe place to eat with plenty of choice . We visited last night to be told meals Iv had in the past are not now Gluten Free , which massively reduced my choice . The meal of choice was the Duck and the missus had the lamb Henry both were superb and service excellent. I did enquire if they still did the lamb dish Gluten free as it now states on their bar menu it’s not . I’m therefor very suppressed as the above menu states it it can be served GF as well as the Vennison dish . This needs to be clarified for future visits . Many thanks

Having read some of the reviews on this place- I wonder what people want out of life- Some of you should go to MacDonalds or Kentucky Fried instead- that's the crap you should be reviewing .. We are from over 170 miles from Casa Bella and have been 4 times in 2 years- It has never disappointed either on very good quality food or service or staff attitude and it'll be the first place we book the next time we go to Keswick. If you want good Italian dining and atmosphere - go here-- that's why it's always full !!- make sure you book

We visited the Pheasant Inn for Sunday lunch and couldn’t fault it it was lovely, we both had the pork it was so tender there was a good choice of vegetables and a giant Yorkshire pudding , the staff are really friendly /polite and very professional, we definitely would recommend the pheasant inn and we will definitely visit again.

Excellent meal, served by a friendly bunch of staff. Spiced parsnips followed by seared pheasant breast, with two pints of Pheasant ale. A lot of pheasant in the Pheasant Inn, showing a lack of imagination on my part, but all very pleasant. Plenty of other options in Keswick but I would go back here

Came here several times when we visited Keswick 2 years ago and so we booked a table as soon as we booked this trip. 2 different sittings, early and late. Early seems to get booked up quite quickly especially at the weekend. Online booking available. Lovely food as always. Good choice of food and several options for vegetarians. Good size portions. Especially the Lamb Henry! Good atmosphere in the pub. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. I would recommend that you find this pub and book a table.

We have been visiting Keswick for several years and generally visited the pubs and restaurants in the immediate town centre. This year we decided to visit the Pheasant Inn which was an extra ten minutes walk. We are very pleased we made this decision. The food was very good value and there were some good options for vegetarians, large portions which were ideal after a day of walking. Very good beers from the bar and attentive service from the staff. We will definitely be making a visit again in the future.

The food is consistently delicious we go back constantly. Sunday lunch is plentiful with an amazing gravy biggested yorshires you see in a pub . Staff lovely and friendly highly recommended.

We were recommended this little Lake District gem, by friends who had experienced The Pheasant Inn. Our experience was amazing, a genuine old fashioned family pub serving real ales of quality and food that was exceptional, particularly our Sunday roast beef lunch. An plateful that most will fully enjoy whilst others may flounder, but the taste and quality were great. The staff at The Pheasant Inn were welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, our wait for our meal was acceptable, bearing in mind the hostelry was full to bursting. We would certainly recommend you book a table otherwise there may be a wait for a table. Value for money, we would say yes bothe for drinks and food, this hostelry has now become a firm favourite of ours and we will be back ..... would be rude not to. Thank you, Team Pheasant Inn.

Our first visit to Keswick and pre-booked a table for 2 for the Saturday night. Lovely welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. The staff were really attentive and had a lovely relaxed chatty manner. The food was so tasty and very generous portions; we had the venison bourguigon and beef pie. We shared a cheesecake dessert. Will definitely return when we visit again!
