We were recommended this little Lake District gem, by friends who had experienced The Pheasant Inn. Our experience was amazing, a genuine old fashioned family pub serving real ales of quality and food that was exceptional, particularly our Sunday roast beef lunch. An plateful that most will fully enjoy whilst others may flounder, but the taste and quality were great. The staff at The Pheasant Inn were welcoming, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, our wait for our meal was acceptable, bearing in mind the hostelry was full to bursting. We would certainly recommend you book a table otherwise there may be a wait for a table. Value for money, we would say yes bothe for drinks and food, this hostelry has now become a firm favourite of ours and we will be back ..... would be rude not to. Thank you, Team Pheasant Inn.

The best pub food in Keswick by far, visited with three friends and the food and service were first class. The rainbow trout was superb.

Our first visit to Keswick and pre-booked a table for 2 for the Saturday night. Lovely welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. The staff were really attentive and had a lovely relaxed chatty manner. The food was so tasty and very generous portions; we had the venison bourguigon and beef pie. We shared a cheesecake dessert. Will definitely return when we visit again!

Good food as usual, we have been a number of times over the years. Will no doubt be there again.

This place doesn't look much from outside - but inside it is a large historic inn packed with atmosphere, good food and good local beers. The staff are a riot. It is excellent value for money. Don't tell anyone else about it!

We have been having meals at the Pheasant for many years, never been disappointed from the food through to the friendly staff. Wether it's lunch or the various menu choices for the evening meal. We always book for the evening meals.

It was a delightful experience from start to finish. The food was excellent. The service was exceptional- personable and helpful with the menu on items we weren’t familiar with. Also, our daughter was vegan and she was very happy with her meal. The ambiance is exactly what we expected- cozy and lovely decor.

We celebrated my Grandad's 80th birthday here on Monday night with a wonderful meal. The food was hearty and delicious; he'd requested a beef pie for his birthday dinner and it ticked all his boxes! The staff were so friendly and warm, chatting to us and passing on their congratulations. This pub is a real gem and we'll definitely be back when we're up this way again!

Really tasty food especially the gooseberry and apple crumble. Good vegetarian choices. Lovely atmosphere and attentive staff would definitely recommend
