A good meal with great service
Pheasant Inn – KeswickSunday lunch very good. Only comment too much food on plates - not just our party but at other tables too, large amount of wasted food on plates being taken away. Good that smaller plates are offered but describing them as children’s portions was misleading as they were still quite large. Quality of food was good, service on a very busy day was very good.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickThroughly enjoyed our lunch in The Pheasant Inn, we had the Thai Fish Cakes as a main course and they were delicious. The staff were friendly, the pub was very comfortable with a roaring log fire. Our dog enjoyed the doggie biscuits that were on the bar of which we could have by making a donation to Cumbrian Mountain Rescue which was a well deserved charity.

It has an excellent menu and my biggest dilemma was what to order because there were so many options I could have chosen. Hearty food, service with a smile. Nice atmosphere and a proper pub feel even for a gastro pub. Got the balance right. Well done. I will return and work my way through the menu.

Pheasant Inn – KeswickLovely friendly atmosphere from the moment we stepped in the door , all staff were great we had a drink on arriving in Keswick and sat by a welcoming roaring fire , we booked Sunday lunch too on our stay for Mother’s Day they were really busy and we had to wait a little while for our table but as soon as it was ready they couldn’t do enough and were very apologetic , the food was great and plentiful, highly recommended

Great food and a lovely bottle of Malbec, and two happy punters slept very well that night. I would definitely recommend the Pheasant Inn, and look forward to coming back.

The order was unfortunately not sent to the kitchen until we chased it up. It was however delicious. Shame because top marks were certainly on the cards.

I would go so far as saying it is consistently the best pub food we know. Service, portion sizes, quality and variety are always excellent and there is always a convivial and welcoming atmosphere. The cask ales are always in tip-top condition as well and we never leave feeling without being full and delighted to have returned again.
Pheasant Inn – KeswickWe always book to eat at The Pheasant when we visit Keswick. On this occasion we were very disappointed with the service. We were not acknowledged for 25 minutes. My sister in law eventually got up and asked one of the waiters if he could serve us so at least we could have a drink and he said I’ll come over, but can’t you see we’re busy!! The waiter gave us a large glass of wine for the price of a medium glass by way of apology, but we felt disappointed anyway in spite of that. We have been before when the restaurant has been completely full and we have always been welcomed with a smile and our drinks order has been taken practically immediately. We were given the sweet menu and then nobody came to take our order, so after waiting another 20 minutes we got up, went to the bar and paid.
